The Red Bull Ring has been entirely revamped and rebuilt from its former decay, thanks to the lavish money and care of Mr. "Red Bull" Dietrich Mateschitz. Born in the region, he created the "Projekt Spielberg" to revive the dormant track and the sleepy surroundings, which once caused Bernie Ecclestone to comment: "The track may be nice, but there are only cow stables to sleep in." This has changed massively, since not only the track was rebuilt by Red Bull, but also a number of hotels and restaurants. If you know other race tracks, you know that this is state of the art - not only when it comes to the track itself, but also the facilities around it. The restaurant is excellent, with a fine menu and well-trained staff lavishing their personal attention on the guests. If you compare it with Monza for example, you can easily see the difference (I still love the run-down historic look of Monza, don't get me wrong). The site is not so easy to get to, and you will have a 90- to 120- minute drive from any major city, be it Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, or even Klagenfurt. That said, it is worthwhile attending, either to see the F1 race, a rallye such as the Ennstal classic, or best of all to book your own racing experience. The ladies among you may be interested to know that racing hottie David Coulthard is bookable to improve your "pedal to the metal" skills. You can check everything here: http://www.projekt-spielberg.at/enIn case you are interested in some background:The Red Bull Ring is situated in one of the poorer and less visited areas of Steiermark - some communities have seen up to 30% of their population flock to more rural areas. Rumor has it that most of the inhabitants are grateful and happy about the investment, but there are always some moaners and complainers. When Red Bull asked for a tax reduction - after putting in millions in an area that literally nobody invests in, hardliners denied this. Switzerland, in comparison, grants such favors easily, and cantons as well as individual cities and villages compete with tax benefits. So this may be a hint why Steiermark and Austria in general are lagging behind their wealthy neighbors in the West.

The track it self is great and the pit boxes are clean and large. But one thing is way better than any european track. That is the Paddock restaurant. Mostly in racetrack restaurants you only can find sausages and awfull lunch variations. But in Red Bull ring restaurant you can eat and enjoy. Large and well planned menú and almost gourment style food. Really enjoyed. And the the wievs from the restaurat to track!

The F1 track is well designed causing problems for many and therefore a good race. Most importantly the view across the track is one of the best I have seen. From the Red Bull Stand you could see most of the track, very unusual!Camping location was one of the best for those so inclined. Almost inside the track. Pit walk on Thursday was so successful it became impossible to do. There were queues for the toilets at times, but they stayed clean! After the race the queues from the car parks were unnecessarily long. A few road closures to ensure one way running would have solved this.No wifi available so the new F1 App was unusable. Pity the Fan System was not available.

Good to experience the return of F1 to this excellent facility, well located for transport links and great views.

Great circuit that some how is very clean. We saw the F1 qualifying and GP2 race here and I was very impressed with the circuit, view from the seats and how clean it was.It is a surreal location for a racetrack because it is in the middle of mountains. It was very busy for qualifying however the toilets where still pretty clean. There is also a massive grass bank that you can sit on to view the race track that also has a pretty good view. The only downside was the new 1.6 turbo F1 cars. It's just not the same.I would recommend this race track to anyone watch any motor sports.

Just back from the 1st grand prix here for over 10 years.Very well organised with 95000 attending.Queues for toilets a bit annoying but to be expected.Book it for next year if you fancy a grand prix.Use car park 10 and walk as I think the main car park probably a nightmare to get out of.

was just there today for the first Formual 1 race and it was an amazing event. Everything has been beautifully build and very efficient. What a great location for a race. the organization has been wonderful the last 3 days and the setting of the race course in the rolling green hills is simply fantastic. I wish only they had some more pleasant food options, we had vip tickets underneath the large canopy but all you can get is 2 couple sausages and a brezel (!?!) I mean you need to pay for it anyway - why not offer something a little bit more appealing ? - the tickets where 495 a person - so I guess others would have also liked to have a few more options...

OK, a friend arranged for a day of racing at the Red bull ring. Absolutely amazing. The KTM xbow's are so fast that the first time you shift into 3rd and step on the gas, the first thing you want to do is park the thing on the side of the course and walk away. It is, I assure you, the wildest time ever. Do not miss if you're in the area, and it's worth it to drive over.

Personale disponibile, costi ottimi e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Da ripetere il prossimo anno sicuramente!!
