There are beautiful nature, mountains and amazing views but I rate it "Average" only because of 2 reasons:- the water flow was very weak - not like in the pictures. May be is just because of no rain but I was very disappointed. - the trail is not easy at all even for experienced hiker. It almost impossible to do it with young children. The problem that there are are very few places to rest/sit along the trail.Erlebniswelt Mendlingtal - is my recommendation for families :-)

Well worth it if you are within 20 - 30 km. It is a heavy hike up wooden stairs around about 10 beautiful watterfalls.

Expect to get Wet. Hard going but the view was worth it. Not really a family walk it took 3.5 hours for 2 unfit adults.

Everything is to like in Mariazell and St. Sebastian. The landskape is mirific, the people are more than friendly, you have nice place to see (do not forget the Basilica), nice places to walk through, ski slopes nearby. Also , there are shops of all kinds, nice restaurants and caffeterias with delicious food. This is like a town from the fairy tales made from ginger bread.

If you see this German word: klamm, don't hesitate to visit :-). We have been to many klamm in Austria, and everyone is just amazing. They might be different in every season, usually the best in sunshine, after the winter (when the water level is the highest mabye). We have been here more times, and this april was the best time, the waterfalls were biger than before. After you cross the suspension bridge You have to pay few euro for entry. The first part is an easy walk beside the river, than you will find many stairs up. This part is not the easiest, but we have seen there people in any age. The inside area has no toilet, shops, just the nature, so better to take water and some food. It takes about 2-3 hours, deppends on you. There is a restaurant beside the entry, this is the only shoping possibility in 5 minutes car ride I guess. Be aware in Austria the shops are closed on Sundays.
