By chance the weather was beautiful and we took a trip from Krems to Melk. What a beautiful scenery on both sides of the Danube ! The boat is very modern and the people were very friendly - good service.

This short ride, from Krems to Melk, was quite lovely. It was included as part of a longer tour. We hopped off the tour bus, boarded the Austria and spent about an hour on board. We had reserved seating (fore) and with this we had coffee and cake served to us. We had a choice of the apple strudel or the apricot cake, both very good. Great service, very nice workers on board. The entire ship is modern and very well-maintained. I bought a little souvenir bottle of schnapps for only 3.5 euros, otherwise they really didn't have much in the way of gifts to purchase on board. We were rewarded with beautiful weather, which meant the outdoor seating in the aft was quite full. I normally do not take photos of restrooms, but the WC on this ship was absolutley elegant.

We took a trip today from Spitz to Krems. The ship looked like all these ships in use for trips on the Danube River. Departure was on time, just a few persons were on the ship. The trip was also what can be expected. When I had to visit the toilets, I was very surprised about the look and maintenance and state of the toilets. Never seen this anywhere in an "attraction".There are 2 companies competing here, next time I would select Brandner again.

We made advance reservations online for a one way cruise from Melk to Krems. We didn't have to pay until the day of our cruise, when we picked up our tickets at the small ticket office near the departure pier. We had been traveling by train, so this cruise provided a different mode of transportation. We chose to sit outside (should have worn the sunscreen) for the best view. It was a little annoying when other passengers would stand in front of us to take pictures, obstructing our view. We were ready to get off when we arrived at our destination. We're glad we took the cruise, but can cross it off our list now.

After a thorough "fact finding" search of the available services and suggestions for a boat trip on the Danube we came up with the following successful plan for our day trip......-The Wachau (between Krems and Melk) in Austria is the best part of the Danube.- Book with Brandner River cruise, It is modern, classy, has great service and costs the same as it's opposition (who also runs from Krems to Melk). -They reserve a table when you book, Those people who did not book either missed out on tables or didn't get the window tables. When you book ask for a window table it pays off!-Go upriver if you can (krems to Melk). It takes 3 and a half hours and you get to see this breathtaking area slowly. The trip Downriver is so fast (one and a half hours).- On this trip we went one way to Melk. The boat leaves from Krems and stops along the way dropping of and picking up tourists. If you take a return trip you only have one hour in Melk which is hardly enough time to eat a meal!- The train services between Melk and krems are simple to use and reliable. We parked our car at Melk trained it to Krems and got back into Melk with the boat. The train station in krems is a 25 minute walk to the boat docks.

Lindo visual!!! Imperdível! Adoramos!!!
