Wow, white sand and beautiful setting. Sunbed and umbrellas. Beautiful sea (Ideal for children). We were here in March so nothing was open. There are however plenty of beach bars and cafes. Children's play areas. Glad we found this beach on our travels.

Nissi beach is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus. Long and huge it stretches 500km in an arc on the coast and the beach stretches out to a small island in the shape of a large rock which people often jump off into the sea for fun - which is against the advice on the signage surrounding it. From the island you can see for miles and watch people water-skiing, windsurfing and pedal-boating. The water from here is incredibly blue, it really is such a gorgeous spot to look out from. The sea is absolutely crystal clear with the rocky shore bed very visible. The sand is a beautiful light colour and super-fine but also good for making sandcastles. This beach was awarded blue flag status and it is not difficult to see why. This beach is very popular and is often full of people, young and old. It definitely attracts a young crowd, there is often music blasting out from the bars further up the shore. Very popular with hen and stag parties but also suitable for families, there were lots of children there when I visited. Do be warned though, if you are not a fan of nudity, some of the young women there wear bikinis which don't leave anything to the imagination! There are a couple of beach volleyball spots for people who like to play, or you can just sit and spectate.Food and drink wise - there are many bars on the beachfront with reasonably priced drinks and there are a couple of places that serve food and snacks such as burgers and chips but they are all rather overpriced. Further back there are shops and bars and I found this area to be so overwhelmingly English - it was like Blackpool in the sun. Not my kind of place and I am glad that I was only visiting and not staying there. There is parking close to the beach - I parked in the Nissi Beach Resort hotel which is pretty much next to the beach with a little alley to walk down before you get there. I'm not entirely sure that it is legit to park there but there are no signs saying otherwise and I didn't get clamped! There are toilet facilities next to the beach but they aren't very clean and a couple were blocked. There are free outdoor shower facilities available too which is useful to wash all the sand off your body because as we all know, sand gets everywhere!I would take a pair of crocs or sandals/flip flops to walk in as the sand is so soft. Also take a towel and plenty of water to drink as the area is quite exposed and if you don't have a parasol to hand you could get pretty burnt by the sun. I would definitely suggest that you take a camera too - it is such a gorgeous beach that it would be rude not to get any pictures - that being said, don't expect your photos to do justice to how pretty this place actually is!!This place is quite accessible for disabled visitors - I did spot a couple of wheelchair users who seemed to be getting on OK.

Go there if you like loud music and cheerful crowd. Probably the best party beach in Cyprus for daytime fun.

The sea water is stunning beautiful but it's unf that it's overcrowded and not pleasant as you won't be able to relax

One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. Clear waters, white sands, a stunning place to be.

Nissi Beach: If you want Sun, Sand, Sea, Alcohol and very a crowded beach then this is the place to be. 18-30 Holidays dot com! Sorry it's handy for accommodation, eats and drinks but it is way too busy. Agia Thekkla beach is a few miles further out and never packed. Plenty of parking and good links to the dual carriageway. Nissi is worth a visit, once!

The beach is nice but don't go in winter, is cold and windy, and there is nothing open, no restaurantes, no sun beds, nothing to do.

Amazing beach to not miss out! Nice clean water, many tourists. Water sport, party beach for them who like that!

Nissi Beach is a beach of two halves. Looking towards the sea, the beach to your right hand side has jet ski hire, banana boats, music etc. whereas the left hand side is peaceful and more subdued. This is the side of the beach you get directly onto via Nissi Beach Hotel. The sun loungers/umbrellas are 5 euros a day but the man doesn't collect the money until lunchtime, so if you are an early starter you would have left the beach before he came! The sea and sand are both clean and welcoming and there are a few options of eateries. Nice beach for couples and families, younger people would probably prefer the 'right hand' side of the beach.

If you like dance, swim and found a lot of people in only one place.....this is the perfect place where you can found all of it. And even can't forget the characteristic "sand spit"....i suggest to visit this beach, only one time it's enough for fall in love of it.

This is truly a picture-postcard beach. Golden sands & turquoise water! Just a bit of advice, it can get rowdy by the bars, just loud music, if you like it more relaxing, find a spot either nearer the water or away from the bars.

A lovely beach if you want to do the European tourist bit of renting a sunbed, perfecting your tan and drinking brandy sours all day. There are a few options for food, more for drinks. The big white restaurant offers an all you can eat buffet for about 14 Euros and if you get there at the right time, the selection is good. For drinking, you can take your pick, chill in the same place i just mentioned or head further west for a few minutes to the Day/Night club and get in on a 3pm foam party. Failing all of these, you are only a short walk from the main beachside drag. The water is typical Mediterranean crystal clear. There are jet skis, banana rides, parascending and other things to do. If you walk further east, you can just lay out a towel and not have to shell out for a sunbed. One slight downside to the beach (and almost every tourist beach I have been to) is the amount of cigarettes and plastic cups in the sand. I know that they clean the beach during the day and every night with rakes, but by the end of the day, it becomes a bit of an eye sore.I'm more of a cheap traveler, but being here with my family, sitting on a beach side terrace, sipping coffee or slurping my 9th brandy sour, with the sea breeze, watching the beautiful locals strolling by and the half drowned Brits flying off of banana boats... It's relaxing in the way that only the Med can be.

Definitely a must when you go to Ayia Napa. I studied abroad in Cyprus for about 4 months and we would try to go to Nissi beach as much as we could. Clear water, white sands and the ocean is not rough whatsoever!
