If you are in the Adana area and love to hike or are a history buff then this is a must see. Like so many of the castles in Turkey this one has a long history and was occupied by different groups over the years. It is a huge castle that sits atop a hill with a breathtaking view of the surrounding land. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to check out. They have just begun a 6 year restoration project that will soon bring a restaurant, hotel etc to the area and also make it more convenient to climb up. I have mixed feelings on this. I am all for cleaning it up a bit but love that things haven't become too commercialized. It looks like it is moving more in that direction however.

This site is unique-not fancy but extremely important for the discovery of a way to decipher Hittite hieroglyphics. There is a nice walk to two locations holding Hittite stone carvings with a lake in the background. The small museum is best sen first for more understanding.

There is no real path up to the rambling 12th century castle ruins, so be prepared for some minor rock climbing. But it isn't a terribly far walk/climb up to the ruins--about 15 minutes from the car park. Sweeping views of the countryside from the top. There is a simple café with nice view in the car park. Around 45 minutes' drive from Adana.

Bir Ceyhanli olarak cok gitim muhteşem bir yer adi yılan kale ama bir tane yılan yok genelde bisiklet ile giderim çıkarken cok zor inerken bir o kadar Heyecanlı Birde biraz ilerde kokar var orayada mutlaka uğrayın

Adana'ya çok yakın tarihi bir kale. Mutlaka görmek lazım gezmek lazım kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum. Ulaşım çok kolay.

Il Castello di Yilan, si trova su un alto costone roccioso, vicino al villaggio che porta lo stesso nome e serviva per proteggere la strada tra le città di Adana e di Ceyhan. Le sue mura, ricche di torri, seguono da vicino la parte superiore della roccia ed al suo interno sono presenti una cisterna e i resti di una cappella. E liberamente accessibile, ma bisogna inarpicarsi attraverso un sentiero tortuoso ed irto, attrezzatevi di scarpe adatte. Io non sono andato in cima, ma mi sono fermato un pò sotto, presso il bar a gustarmi un cay ed a godermi la vista sulla valle che è bellissima.

Yilankale liegt in der Nähe von Adana und ist insgesamt eine relativ gut erhaltene Ruine. Unterhalb der Burg gibt es einen kleinen Kiosk mit Cafe. Zur Burg führt kein richtiger Weg, eher ein Trampelpfad, aber der Weg hoch lohnt sich, vor allem für Geschichtsinterssierte!

Tırmanışı biraz zorlu bir kale olsa da, bulunduğu konum itibariyle muhteşem bir manzaraya sahip. Ceyhan nehrinin kıvrıla kıvrıla ilerleyişi, kıyısındaki yeşilin o güzel tonuyla ağaçlar ve ekili tarlalar.. Bu harika manzara muhakkak görülmeli.
