This church like many during the Soviet Union was used as a warehouse. Currently the church is undergoing massive restoration. The interior is spectacular and luckily did not suffer insurmountable damage. Unique among many churches in Lviv since its architect was Italian.

Wonderful church which was fully restored year or two ago after being a storage of books since 1946. Now there are good restored frescos and sculptures. It is also historical place. College of Jesuits was there in 17-18 centuries and lots of prominent people studied there, for instance famous Ukrainian hero Bogdan Khmelnyckyi and at least two Polish kings. Visits are free of charge.

This church was reopened after long time of being book storage. Everything is rennovated now and the place inside is shining by the beauty. Located in the center, on the crissing of Shevska and Teatralna streets. Hotel Leopolis, Chocolate store and Strudel Haus are near - all very good places to vizit

I did a lot of research to write this review. I placed th fruit of that research in the captions of the photos I took. Hopefully they may serve the reader in appreciating this beautiful expression of God's love for us and our love for God. If you are going to photograph the church, you will be fighting low light. But I hope you enjoy it just as much as we did. Light a candle. Pray 3 Hail Maries and make 3 wishes. I did. They were all for my son.

The Jesuits Church was originally built in the early 1600s in the early Baroque style. It is also known as the Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church as it served as the garrison church for the city. It was closed by the Soviets in 1946 and used as a book depository and it suffered from neglect during this period. It was reopened in 2011 and is a parish church to the community, not a museum but it is open to visitors. It has now been restored and inside the church are tombstones of some local notables and many old frescoes and murals.

Не очень красивый внешне, этот храм просто прекрасен внутри. Хорошенько рассмотритесь, много деталей, росписей и скульптуры. В этом храме прощаются с погибшими на востоке солдатами.

Очень красивый старинный костел. Частично реставрированный после войны (со времен Советской власти в нем было книгохранилище). Даже имеется (неработающий) не отреставрированный орган. Больше всего поражает богатое убранство костела, витражей и несколько необычных икон, особенно статуя Иисуса Христа. Поистине место для успокоения души и размышлений о жизни. Этому способствуют большие ряды скамеечек и постоянно играющая в аудио-записи классическая музыка. Понравилось еще то, что свечки и молебенные записки не имеют фиксированной цены. Каждый посетитель может положить ту жертву, которую считает возможным для себя. Это сильно отличает костел от православных церквей. Заходите - не пожалеете, получите умиротворение как минимум на несколько часов. )
