Grundtvigs Church is worth a visit especially for the many Grundtvigians from all over the world. Grundtvigs Church is located in the north-west area of the outskirts of Copenhagen and 6 km from the city centre.

Within walking distance of the centre, this is a must-see for the architecturally inclined or those who can appreciate the [materially] truly beautiful. Free entry, tranquil and awe inspiring. Ambience to die for and a true gem of the city. Nice one Grundtvig!

Very beautiful church in Copenhagen! It takes about 15 minutes by taxi from the city center to get there! Incredible architecture! Just amazing! Love Cph

This huge and beautiful church with a very special minimalist decor is situated off the beaten track in Bispebjerg just outside central Copenhagen. Should be visited by anybody interested in architecture

This was without a doubt the most impressive church we had ever seen, not normally that interested in Churches this absolutely blew our minds. The structure is enormous, imposing and stunning. We walked from the town centre, and it is quite a walk, but well worth it, and gives you the opportunity to see the suburbs, and if you plan you walk well enough (or badly enough, in our case), you can take a stroll through the grounds of the New Bispebjerg Hospital, which is very big, and on a weekend eerily quiet, well worth it.

This is a fabulous gothic styled catherdaral....it has incredible tall gothic ceilings....is quite contemporary but very spiritual and serene

We decided to take public transportation to the church, very doable since there are several bus routes that go past the church. Unfortunately, when we got there it was closed due to renovations. We ended up walking around the neighborhood and when we came back we noticed that people were going inside so we just did what any pushy tourist would do, we barged in!! Pictures will not do justice, I'd seen a lot of images before hand but I was still awestruck.

Magnificent church inside and out. Built of yellow brick and probably the tallest church in Denmark. It has the most striking frontage.

What else to expect from a building with that size?? The architecture resembles the Gothic cathedrals but in a modern/simple way. So the atmosphere around it is quite amazing. The interior is sober.

I love churches/places of worship and read about this one on TripAdvisor. A bus from the city will get you there in about 20 minutes. It's majestic and very different. Take your camera!

One of the worlds biggest and most spectacular brick constructions. This pretty big church is situated on top of Bispebjerg hill overlooking Copenhagen. If you are into architecture the brickwork is not seen anywhere else in the world.

This striking, architecturally unusual, huge (as big as Copenhagen Cathedral) and breathtakingly beautiful church, built in Bispebjerg, a suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city, is "expressionist" in style, dating chiefly from the 1920s but not completely finished until the 1940s. I doubt if there can be another anything like it. The exterior is immensely impressive in size and style and everything within is beautifully designed and crafted. What's more, the church is situated in a residential district that is designed in a sympathetically "expressionist" style. This splendid church shouldn't be missed.

I feel so lucky that I get to live right next to one of the most distinguishable buildings in Copenhagen. It's a little ways out from the center of the city, but I think everyone should visit this church. It's unlike anything you have ever seen before, inside and outside. I guarantee it'll be worth your time!

I've never seen anything quite like it - an organ-shape church facade if you will. The interior is modern and perhaps less impressive, but its a sight to behold from the outside.
