We had great day at the park. We paid the extra 45 kroner for the safari tour, which was great, the kids enjoyed been in the Land Rovers (like Jurassic Park) and we even saw one of the Rhinos on a bit of stampede. That said, we then spent the rest of the day - about 5 hours - walking around. The routes are well laid out, clearly signposted and not too onerous. We saw lions, leopards, cheetahs tigers, giraffes, bears, wolves, mouse, bison, antelope you name it really, just about the only thing they don't have is elephants. We thought it was a great place, there are loads of cafes and restaurants and we thought food was good and reasonably priced. The place got busier as the day progressed, but never felt really crowded and was generally very relaxed. I usually hate this sort of place, but I enjoyed it along with the rest of the family. Definitely worth a visit.

Ree Park Safari is a big area with a lot of interesting animals and nature to see. Walking near the monkeys, nandus and other animals was really exciting. The enclosures were large. Safari ride is recommended because it allows a much closer sight than behind the fence. The area is big, so good walking shoes are absolutely necessary. If you have extra cash, you can hire a private tour on a golf cart with a Ree park guide.

We paid the high entrance fee, and followed the paths the laid out. But saw NO animals the first 15 min. Then we got lucky and saw a giraf. If you visit make sure you take the safari tour, or its not worth the money.

Spent a day with the kids here. Good variety of animals, and they all seem to have plenty of space and good care. The safari ride is recommended but not a necessity.

Great zoo and I think even the smallest children will enjoy this. But you have to do the safari trip or you will surely miss out on some great sightings. I was surprised to learn that the zoo haven't banned smoking in the park, if not for the sake of the children, at least for the sake of the animals...

We work in the zoo industry and so where ever we go on holiday it is a bit of a bus man's holiday, as we have to visit the local zoo. We went with a keeper from another Danish zoo , so it was great to have a guide. Nice welome at the reception and a good map of the grounds, we also paid the extra to go on the optional safari trip. The zoo is well laid out and signposted, and divided into specific continents featuring the animals that live there. Very easy to walk around and apart for the odd small hill the tarmac paths make it easy for people with disabilities. Range of keepers talks during the day, and although we could not understand the Danish commentaries, all of the keepers were happy to talk to us in English afterwards. Lots of volunteer guides on the park who gave you directions and told you what events were happening, very helpful and friendly. Met for the safari trip which was interesting as was 3 landrovers all joined together, much better than a tour bus, made you feel that you were on safari right from the start. Having been to Africa, any zoo safari always seems second best, but there was a nice range of animals that looked well cared for and happy, lots of photo opportunities and most people seemed to enjoy getting close to the animals. Have to say my favourite animal was the yellow faced marten, if you get a chance to watch his feeding time don't miss it, wonderful to watch him work out how to reach the food hidden in the trees. Also close up views of the lions at feeding time was very impressive, no wire in the way. Food for humans is sadly lacking though, the only choice seems to be takeaway style food, espeially a local delicacy of a huge portion of chips and chopped up sausages all piled on a plate. Very entertaining and a good way to spend a day.

Normally do not like zoos ut this place is different! Great conditions for all the animals and beautiful surroundings. And it is even possible to get around with wheelchair/stroller most places.

We have visited the place with friends with a small kid. I was positivly suprised how big the park is. When the kid got tired we hop on a safari car and off we went through the park between wild animals. We saw lots of action, the animals are obviously happy. We had fun with monkeys and saw lots babies as well. It was a great day and would go again!

A place to see lots of wild animals, in plenty of space, at a reasonable cost. Our trip with three year old grandchild was really helped by excellent staff, hiring a pull along trolley/buggy, as its a long walk for a three year old if you want to see all the animals!Highlights for her were cappucine monkeys and others in a free swinging environment, giraffes roaming and chewing, a moose mud bathing, lions, mongoose, and black bears. Lots to see, good fresh food at the cafe, and a great four hour stay.

A family of three adults and children aged four and one.The weather was excellent and the park is set in a fabulous varied landscape that shows off the animals really well while giving excellent backgrounds and a really good experience walking around. The park is well laid out, with complete accessibility for wheelchairs and prams, good catering facilities and great spaces for picnicing and generally relaxing. There are also cabins and tents for overnight stays, parking is easy and everything simply works for the visitor. In many places, the animals are very close indeed and it was altogether an excellent experience. Highly recommmended.

This is a different zoo where the animals seem to be quite happy and have good conditions - at least on a nice summers day.We were 3 adults and 2 children and everybody had a good day out. The lions are impressive and you get real close to the monkeys!

Yes, Ree Park may be worth a visit. But paying 490,- dkk for two adults and two kids (ages 4 and 6), just for the entrance, isn't that kind of overpriced? This is excl. jeep safari or trolley rental, which will bring you to a whooping 690,- dkk for a few hours at the zoo!

I've seen a lot of zoos and parks over the world, and I must say that I really was enthused about Ree Safari Park, and I would love to go again. It has a great size, and the exhibits are big enough for the animals to live in. The Park offers a ride into the safari, in a tractor trailer, where you get the chance to get close to the animals of the Savannah!definitely coming back!
