While in Salvador, take a detour to Ponta de Humaita. It is a small corner in Salvador that faces the Bay with rustic but beautiful scenery !

It was a cloudy and raining day when we stopped here and ate our lunch. There was nothing open that we could get into, but it was interesting to see the old fort.

A lovely place to end the day, watching the sun sink into the sea while sipping a cold beer. Teenagers strum their guitars while pregnant ladies come for photo-shoots of their bellies. A relaxed place to be among relaxed locals.

Located in lower Salvador, not too far from Bonfim Church; Humaitá is a real look at how the Sotero Politano's relax, with ind if the few beaches you can actually jump into, and views from up the hill of the city, marina, or sunset to die for.As usual, only Portuguese is spoken so come with your phrase book, but that is not to distract from a wonderful place.Well worth an excursion from the more touristy if more appealing Barra.

The place is so beautiful, but unfortunately it seems that was left behind and no one cares about the maintenance. Also it is really hard to find parking spots. It is also very dirty.

Try to go there at the sunset time. It's awesome! Very beautiful.located on Bonfim zone (lower city), You find there usually a very nice atmosphere not so crowded as Pelourinho or other turistic points of Salvador. The beautiful lighthouse among palm trees offers from there, the most beautiful view of the wonderful see of Bahia de todos os Santos. Humaitá is an antique part of Salvador. No high bildings,no commerce, just a pair of bars and nice modest restaurants.

The Ponta de Humaitá is one of the most beautiful places in all of Salvador. It is located in one of the projections on the peninsula. For this reason it has a lighthouse, signaling danger area for navigation and nautical orientation generally.

Located in an opposite direction from Farol da Barra, it is less touristic but still a great place to visit. A 10 minute walk from Bonfim church takes you to this place where you can enjoy great views of Salvador from distance. I really enjoyed it !!!

It's a really nice place to see the sunset but It's hard to get there because the bus stop is a bit far, however if you're good walking you might try the route I did: Ribeira (Nice Ice Creams), Igreja do senhor do Bomfim and the Humaita...

Salvador is a lovely city - full of charming sites to be discovered around every corner. Ponta de Humaita gives a beautiful seaside vista of the city. Well worth a visit.

This is a great place to view Salvador's city skyline, the bay and there is also an area to swim. It's perfect for sunset and to have a cool drink and mix with the soteropolitanos

You get to see a different view of Salvador. Nice breeze and a visit to Mont Serrat Little Church from the 17 century. One of the most important in Brazil
marciasacramento
It has a scenic view, a place where families and couples seem to enjoy on a late afternoon.
