just right for beach and people watching, fairly clean, non aggressive vendors, good food and drinks delivered to your towel...must like waves :-)
Worldtravals
Not a bad beach but it is full of vendors. Want shade? rent a umbrella. Go next door to Resende beach and you get some natural shade. Sty here for surfing and mini skate park.

A beautiful beach in Itacare. It's getting deep really slowly. So it is also nice for people who cannot swim.It is clean and safe.

Very popular beach with locals and visitors. Surf very much local turf and was advised if surfing, to find somewhere else...
HiddenPousadas
Sandy beach set in a cove offering some of the best surfing in Brazil. Walking distance from the centre of Itacaré, a laid back beach resort in Bahia with bars and restaurants, beachwear shops and travel agencies. Arguably one of the best views of Tiririca beach is from Pousada Tanara just 2 mins up the hill. You'll see it from the breakfast terrace but ask for the room at the back and you'll see it from your bed when you wake up.

The surf was amazing, a not so crowded the first day, but on second day on the holiday, was overcrowded. Warm water and fine sand, very close to town, easy walk. Be aware of the beachboys that rent tents and chairs, always have the right change, otherwise they will say " i don't have 1 real, can u come back later to grab it?" That is a way of keeping part of your change.

If your thing when going to the beach is also seeing people, this is a good spot in Itacaré. Being fairly close to the town more people find there way there, even on foot. Also, the structure there is excelent, with a bar with food and drinks and a fresh water fountain where you can wash off the salt from the sea. As for the beach itself, it's great: white sand, small waves and warm water.

The beach itself is not so beautiful, but it is in a very comfortable place. There's a river with a small pool getting to the sea, and also some pipes throwing some very cold water for people who want to refresh a little bit.

We stayed a week on this beach. Ridiculous prices over Carnivale but negotiated a much better price once Carnivale was over & the bulk of people had left town. Plus the infrastructure is insufficient to cope with crowds that Carnivale attracts. I had read some older reviews about armed hold ups at this beach....... We were about to walk back out from town last night as a taxi wanted R$15. to drive us the whole 200m!..... We were stopped by a Brazilian couple who told us they were robbed at gunpoint 3 nights before. They lost a cell phone & a camera. So my advice is: there is very little if any police presence; no support from the locals who run the pousadas; DON'T BOTHER to visit here until they can do something to support the paying guests to their town! And believe me you pay and for very little quality!

Tiririca is the main beach in town and has a lot going on, so if you are looking for wuiet or privacy this is not the place to go. There is a cool skate bowl, those cord things that people balance on, skaters practicing and loads of surfers. It is a really cool place to socialize and chill.

Soul have more facilities for people with children ,they very professional only need to be more prepared to give better services for family with children

Altough I like surfing, this place is not only polluted by its illegal constructions in the beach area, such as too many pousadas and Bars, it also has a starnge vibe, people wanting to sell dope and little thieves...its a shame, but avoid this place, unless its a surfchampionship

Very pretty, good for swimming and surfing, manned by lifeguards. Chairs and umbrellas to hire, lots of shacks for drinks and snacks, good beach restaurant, friendly cool surfing dudes and pretty girls! Good for people watching! Can recommend the coconut drinks and barbequed cheese on sticks from the man with the little mobile bbq. Lots of locals selling snacks and crafts but they don't pester you.Word of warning - don't hang around after dark or walk into town after dark. Lots of reports of assaults and muggings at gun point from people by the surrounding favelas. They target tourists. Only carry small amount of cash. Take motor taxi (motorbike) or call for a taxi.

It is worth to take a walk to see Tiririca Beach, with reefs at both ends, it's only maybe a couple hundred meters long, but beautiful. Lots of surfers go there as the waves seem to be good for surfing. There is a place for snacks and drinks as well as a restaurant. A few pousadas are close by, e.g. Tanara, Sage Point.
