Crowded but with the right people. Lots of things to buy, like clothes, food, drinks, etc. I prefer to seat next to Mormaii or even further away from the center.

I am a senior citizen and I grew up going for a week on vacation in Garopaba with my family.Garopaba was a fish village that grew in a beach town, keeping a number of fishermen among its population and its old little village with a church and some building from Colonial Brazil. It developed enough to attracted not only people from the Brazilian state where it is located, Santa Catarina, but also attracting people from other Brazilian states, specially a lot of gauchos, the inhabitants of the neighbouring state of Rio Grande do Sul. The area is a natural reserve for birds and from July to december it is possible to observe white whales in the cost. During summer vacation time in Brazil (December to March) the population of Garopaba more than double and all bars, shops, beach attraction, malls and restaurants are full of sun-tanned people. At the beach, as happened in most Brazilian beaches, all kinds of food are available through people who sell them while you are relaxing at your beach chair. Small trolleys with BBQ, drinks, cocktails, coconut water, ice cream, typical Brazilian snacks, corn cob, grilled cheese, you name it.To stay most options are small bread and breakfast places, called in Brazil "pousadas", once the city has only one big hotel. During the weekends, the city and beach area is packed and there are many water-sports in the city and in the beaches nearby. At Christmas eve and New's Year eve, even more people gathered there. In line with other cities in Brazil, there area shows and fireworks at the beach in the last night of the year, when crowds wait for the New Year arrived, all dressed in white clothes and bringing their champagne to celebrate the change.I'm a fan. Keeping its cosiness and having already many resources, I think that Garopaba has a lot to offer for a relaxing and interesting vacation time.

Think of an ugly board walk, add to it confusion, dirt, ugly people and tasteless restaurants and stores. There you are, this in summary is what Garopaba beach/town is all about. I am talking about the beach here, where most of the visiting C class people like to spend the day in the narrow portion of dark sand washed by brown colored sea water. Not to mention the chacks, on the sand that, with their smell of heavely greesed fry fish or shrimp, sell also bier in cans and bottles that are usually thrown on the sand by the not wellbehaved beach goers. On the hills, on the way to Vigia beach, all changes, since it is there where millionairs, from Brazil and neighboring countries, have built their magnificent summer homes looking to the bay on which beach the populace thrives. Well, there are also the mountains on the horizon, but pray for the skies not to be cloudy!

the beach is really crowded on hollidays and not very clean. Praia do Rosa in Imbituba is a much better family destination

Essa praia nao tem um acesso muito fácil, e acgo que isso a torna ainda melhor. Ela possui uma natureza quase intocada e uma agua extremamente transparente! Sou apaixonada por esta praia e recomendo a quem gosta de natureza e tranquilidade!

Praia linda... fácil acesso, super familiar, restaurantes com várias opções em frente a orla...pessoas educadas... Enfim Garopaba!

A praia não é tão preservada como as outras e também mais suja. Os restaurantes são simples pouco cuidados.

Ótima opção naquela região para conhecer e passar o dia. Tem uma bela paisagem e é ótima para ir com a família.

Nos resulto un lugar muy tranquilo, seguro y familiar, ofrece unas playas muy lindas con aguas calentitas, cristalinas y verdosas, con arenas claras.tiene un centro para recorrer a pie disfrutando de sus locales comerciales. es muy linda y pintoresca la parte historica de esta ciudad, para recorrer con tiempo y conocer hay muy buenos lugares de abastecimiento, y muchas actividades para hacer, buen viaje!!

Cada vez que voltamos a Garopaba nos surpreendemos como a cidade vem crescendo. Com opções de boas lojas, pousadas, restaurantes e até mesmo de novas casas e condominios. Com mais opções ela mantém as características de uma ótima praia com infraestrutura ao redor.

Nos gustó mucho el mar pero en la playa había mucha gente y negocios, de todas formas pasamos un lindo momento en la ciudad, estábamos de paso con amigos y el lugar es más familiar.

A cidade está bem estruturada, uma grande sacada foi não deixar a construção de prédios. A cidade é linda tem muitas casas de Alto padrão por toda cidade. As praias são limpas e bem cuidadas. Tem inúmeras opções de hospedagem e gastronomia.

O canto norte é menos movimentado e com água bem limpa, sendo possível ver peixinhos em volta de nossos pés. Uma delícia!
