Great beach with plenty of atmosphere on the weekends. It's one of my favourite on the island. There are several restaurants and bars around with deck chairs for rent. Some of these places are very noisy so choose your location carefully. The water is very nice though colder than most beaches on the island. Playa Caribe is very close to Juangriego which is a great place to check out the amazing sunset after your day at the beachJet skis can be rented from nearby Playa Gallera which can be used to visit this beach as well as other nearby beaches.

Very clean beach (for Venezuelan conditions), several beach restaurants to choose from. Don't sit in the first one they lure you to, walk through the line of restaurants and chose the one that offers you the food you like best (ask for Langostinos, the one that has them is always my favorite choice).

Plus:Not crowded, aswsome scenic view, white sand, fresh air that alows good sun bathing. Not Plus:Not many options to eat, and out side the parking space is a bit dirty

A gorgeous Caribbean beach, much less crowded than other beaches on Margarita but just as beautiful with plenty of restaurants and people selling food/drinks (but not as many pushy sellers or people bothering). The waves can be pretty big and strong sometimes but otherwise a perfect beach.

Took a cab here from Dunes hotel for about $4. We got a cab one way so we could choose when to leave. We were a bit nervous at first but it felt very safe here. We were dropped off at the waterfront. There was a nice park and many restaurants you could watch the sunset from. We were here a couple of days prior on the jeep tour by magic tours to watch the sunset. It was really beautiful. This was a good place to buy alcohol but the stores were mostly clothing and the same. Some vendors will trade money here at a good exchange. There is a small church downtown but I don't know if you could go in. On the other side of the fort there is a nice small well protected beach. Worth a visit if you are close.

Who woulda thunk it, I'd just been to Aruba, Curacao, Mochima and was going to Trinidad... but this was my favourite beach of the trip. Very beautiful.

All of the bars along the beach are awesome, the beach itself is beautiful and there's a hill to climb to the left with a great view from the top!

Dislikes: Trash in some areas, alot of vendors going back and forth trying to sell things. Food from restaurants was so-so.Likes: People very nice overall. Vendors will politely leave you alone if you say no thank you. Restaurant staff do work hard to help you. Blue waters, nice water temp, and great sun. Plus, the wind keeps the bugs away.Bring lots of sunscreen, the sun is deceptively strong here.

Is a short taxi ride from Juangriego & with a small number of restaurants & bars, but a great little beach & calm water to enjoy:-)!

i loved this beach. strong waves, blue water. bars, music. yes it is more touristy, and you have to take a cab (theres about a 15 min walk through construction area, and it is not recommended to walk this)...but the beach is amazing!

We got dropped off by a taxi and spend the day on the beach. We rented some chairs and the very nice waitress served us drinks and food. The water has waves but nice ones unlike El agua which are rough. There are no hotels along the beach so there was not alot of people. nice and calm day. Very pretty and clean.

Best beach on the island, young people, clean, near Juangriego (my hotel).

That's one of the most beautifull beaches I've ever seen. Very nice water - without jellyfishes (what was in this period of time extremely rare) and great restaurant and bar. We drunk there the best fruit daiquiri ever!

Beach was beautiful, but not really the best for swimming. High waves and suddenly deeping bottom, maybe i wouldn't like to get my children there.
