Worth seeing but not a must. Very reasonable fee to enter. House is architecturally interesting and each room in house is fully functional. May have been more interesting if someone had actually lived in the house at some point.

This was such a delightful place to visit. It reminded us of the "Crazy House" in De Lat, Vietnam:-) In Vietnam the Crazy House is a hotel but here in the Villa de Leyva area, it is a personal home. We spent a couple of delightful hours touring the house and marveling at the mosaics, the whimsical pieces that adorn the walls etc. It is also reminiscent of Gaudi's works in Barcelona. Fun, fun, fun. Just enjoy

This is a multilevel house made of clay and very unique. It reminded me of Gaudi's work in Spain. It is definitely a "must see" attraction in Villa de Leyva. We took a taxi from the main terminal (difficult to find one around the main square) and had the driver wait (agreement was up to an hour).Agree on the price upfront, but, as I remember, the quoted price was very reasonable. The ride took about 5-10 minutes. On foot, it would probably take 30 minutes or so. There is an attendant walking around that collects the 7000 COP entrance fee per person. Hard to tell that he works for the establishment! No sign that shows how much the fee is. We knew it from the T/A reviews, but it would be helpful if the owner/manager/architect puts up a sign and the attendant wears a uniform. We spent about 45 minutes. It was fun. The house design is unbelievable. Many interesting rooms, wonderful kitchen, functional toilets, all made of clay. Don't miss the roof!

La Casa de barro, the house of mud. It was very interesting to visit. One of the locals said it took the man, an architect, about 15 years to construct it, working in his spare time. It was just finished in 2014. Just a couple of minutes out of Villa de Leyva. An interesting place, especially the rooftop.

Reminiscent of Gaudi's work and Hobbit homes in the Shire, this temple to eccentricity is such a fun place to visit. Still a work in progress and a labour of love. I understand it is made completely from natural materials. Mosaics, sculptures twisting stairs, nooks and crannies ... It has it all.Go. Be amazed. Have fun.

Great to visit, you have to pay to go inside but its about $8,000COP. Never seen anything like it so worth a visit, nice walk from the centre in about 30 minutes.

I found this place quite interesting. The inside is probably the best of this attraction. Maybe for the $7,000 pesos that are charged it should include someone that explains briefly how it was made; it would make it much more worth it. Their are still working on the place, so it should be a much better place in time. 30 to 45 min is all you need to visit this place. Definitely it´s not a Gaudi´s, but I enjoyed it.

The kids will love it. Make sure to take lots of pictures. Make sure you horseback ride your way to the structure.

on a tour stopped to see the house. Its someones idea, turned into a tourist attraction. Pay 6.00 pesos to walk through.

This house is unique, very particular not only in the outside, but also in the choice of decor inside.Although it was built only for turistic purposes, the house could be lived in as there are electricity and running water.I think that rather than me describing it, you should go and see it for yourself, what I can say is that all the people that were visiting while I was there, were amused and amazed by this house!

Was taken here in a cab as part of a package with the winery. I believe I was charged $7,000 COP/person to see the house. This is completely forgettable and I'm frankly pissed that I paid anything to see it.

The terracota house is an amazing architectural attraction. A hole house made out of clay. bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. A must see!!!
