We stayed for three days. It wasn't our first time there but this time we stayed for more than just one day. It was very exciting. We even went kayaking! The center is a nice place to either eat or get souvenirs and the micheladas were excellent.

About a 1.5 hr or so drive from Medellin, this quaint little old town has a very unique character and feel to it.There are many things to see like a farmers markets of sorts across a Church which by itself is a sight to see. The vendors sell all kinds of local fruits/veggies and other appetizing stuff alongwith some souvenir items. There are cobblestone streets with money exchange centers, ATM's, restaurants, shops etc.Overall a very different sight and worth a visit if you have a day to spare. If you enjoy the old world charm then its a must see place. Some pictures are attached to my review here to give a feel for what the place is like!

I liked this old colonial style town, it was like traveling back time when I strolled along the rocky street, which reminded my time in Antigua in Guatemala, and Trinidad in Cuba.

We went there for a day trip from Medellin.After leaving Medellin, once on the other side of the mountain range the climate changes significantly with much drier vegetation, and the temperature starts to climb, becoming unpleasant when arriving in Santa Fe.We had a walk in the main plaza and took pictures.When we asked for a tour of the city in "motoraton" we were given a price of COP27,000 for a short tour excluding the bridge, which is more than three times what we paid in nicer places like Guatape or Jardin for example for a full hour tour. A local friend tried to negociate to price to a reasonable value in vain. We could not see the value in the price given.We walked through the streets surrounding the main square checking the architecture of old houses and another plaza.But the heat, prices and perceived lack of things to see, made us return to Medellin by midday.All in all, the only disappointing trip in an otherwise great Colombia discovery so far. I recommend to give Santa Fe a miss.

Santa Fe ligt op goed een half uur rijden met de bus van Medellin. Het bestaat uit maar enkele straten, de meeste geplaveid met kinderkopjes (cobblestones). We waren er één dag en hebben alle straten gezien. Het aantrekkelijke van het plaatsje zit hem in het feit dat je hier de negentiende eeuw herkent in de panden met open balustrade, vaak ingericht als restaurant en de keien die het lopen op hoge hakken onmogelijk maken. Het pleintje met zijn markt waar groenten en prularia worden aangeboden, doet gezellig aan. De kerk, stralend wit van binnen en van buiten, nodigt uit voor een bezoekje. Besef wel dat het plaatsje dicht tegen de evenaar aan ligt en laaggelegen is. Daardoor is het er erg warm.

Muchos han sido los viajes a tan maravillosa tierra, en variado tipo de plan, pero es de repetir cuantas veces se requiera.El clima veraniego a toda hora invita a pasar el dia entero en una piscina y una buena bebida helada.justo el clima perfecto si se busca descanso.

Es una ciudad llena de historia y tradición. Sus calles y edificaciones son hermosas. No me gustó la enorme cantidad de motos transitando a toda hora por el centro, algunas a velocidades peligrosas.

Santa Fe de Antioquia fue la Ciudad más importante antes que se estableciese en Medellin el mandato de la región. Eso fue hace más de un siglo, pese a esto el pueblo conserva su estilo colonial como si el tiempo apenas hubiera pasado.

Es un lugar muy turístico. Su clima y el ambiente en general de sus pobladores es muy agradable. Hay una buena oferta gastronómica y los precios no son muy altos.

Recorrer las calles de este pueblo es lo mejor, muy tranquilo y acogedor. Cada rincon tiene algo que contar de algun personaje importante o simplemente te relajas caminando, respirando aire puro.

Todo nos gusto pasamos delicioso, disfrutamos el máximo pero muy corto tiempo los niños la pasaron increíblemente sientiendose libres y gozando de la naturaleza

Que el parque central y los alrededores son muy ruidosos. Se pierde el ambiente colonial de las otras calles en ese bullicio de música bailable y guasca.

Muy lindo todo el centro histórico la gente como es costumbre en Antioquia muy amable. Recomendaciones: prepárate para el calor.

Santafé de Antioquia es un pueblo de arquitectura colonial donde parece haberse detenido el tiempo. Sus calles empedradas, sus iglesias coloniales y sus casas y balcones son sencillamente, bellos. Si visitas este pueblo, no olvides pasar a pie el Puente de Occidente!
