Best place to stay with friends. the beach is full of young people, surf and good vibes. The nights are the best in the area, with lots of bars, pubs and restaurants. We really enjoy our visit!

Lots of hostals, bars and street vendors. Ceviche on the beach. Very busy on weekends. Tons of stray dogs, watch out for the poop on the beach. Was cloudy our whole stay, but we enjoyed. Also be careful with food and drink, we had MONTEZUMAS REVENGE all four days. Cool place if you're young and want to get drunk/high and party. No a place for peace and quiet. Two hours of silence each morning between 4am and 6am. Fun place but not sure I'll visit again.

International Surf place, Pacific coast, full of bars. Goodplace for stading how to surf. Possibleto find whatever you want - free love, cheap alchohol, herbs ;)Better to visit from end of November till May.

The beach is a nice addition to a cute surrounding town. I might've liked this beach more if there weren't so many boats in the section we were in, but the beach was lovely nonetheless. The best part is probably the mountains (not large but big enough) that kind of turn the beach into a little cove; it's a beautiful sight. And the boats may have broken the tide a bit, so the waves weren't as high as other places. Not too crowded, ample room to relax on the beach if that's your thing.

A really fun beach - people from all over the world here to enjoy the sun, surf and sand. Join in a friendly soccer or volleyball game, take a surf lesson, play in the waves or relax in the sun. There are lots of food and drink vendors all day long. Enjoy a cold, fresh coconut, or beer or caipirinha! The empanadas are in a hot oven mounted on a bicycle and the shrimp ones were fantastic.Take a surf lesson to really make the most of the beach experience!

Beach was ok, town was full of people in their twenties. It's apparently quite the party town at night. Is was ok to visit for one afternoon.

We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the beach. There's a lot of beach too so plenty of room. We didn't have great weather but it was nice to walk down and there were some good rock pools to explore at one end. There are sellers on the beach selling food and drinks but they don't bother you. There are some deck chairs and some cafes/bars along the beach.

If you want to drink and do drugs near the beach with a lot of tourists, Montanita is perfect for you. Otherwise, avoid it. The beach of Olon is a five minute bus ride down the road, with a mountain literally separating it from Montanita - it is chill and the beach is ideal.

Playa de surfistas donde lo másimportante el la vida nocturna. Y no para gente de avanzada edad, lo primordial es la vida nocturna.Los restantes no me parecieron de lo mejor por lo tanto no nos quedamos.

Montañita es una playa que esta de moda entre los jovenes , es para disfrutar de la playa durante todo el dia hacer distintos deportes acuaticos y a la noche salir ., Lo mejor que tiene son las puestas de sol - son alucinantes

Todo esta ideado para el turismo, a la noche hay muy mucha fiesta, pero si esto agobia se puede ir al mar y ahí están las cosas mas tranquilas , interesante conocer.

Una ciudad para jóvenes solteros que andan de fiesta, nada de parejas o adultos, me animo a decir que las fiestas son todos los días y hay mucho consumo de drogas. Ideal para ir entre amigos, aunque no esperes ni un lujo, es como un pueblo de surfers.

NO vayan en carnaval, es horrible esta llenisimo y todooooo caro! despues de eso, todo muy relajado es para disfrutar sin saber en que dia estas, es el unico lugar de ecuador donde las fiestas son hasta tarde, hay muchs carritos, discos, se puede carretear en la playa es muy entretee! el mar si tiene mucha corriente así que hay que tener un pcoo de cuidado :)
