My past visits have been Spring ones with the hills & surrounds still green. What a difference a season makes... golds & bronzes replacing the lush greens. Glad it was late afternoon as I was a little warm by the time I reached the top! The angle of the sun combined with the smoke from the Bullsbrook fire made for some interesting photos... if only I were a better photographer. Another bonus was the addition of trail markers to aid with staying on the right path. Looking forward to the proposed lookout upgrade.

The view from the lookout is well worth the walk. It is a little steep in places and it is a natural surface trail (so good shoes and relatively good health are a must). There are toilet facilities at the base along with informative signage. There are plans for additional walk trail markers and a renovation of the lookout in the future... so keep coming back to 'watch this space'. The wildflowers in Spring are beautiful.

Loved the walk amongst all the wild flowers. The best time of year to go is August , September to make the most of all,the flowers. It can be a bit steep and loose gravel, so good walking shoes are a must and take care on the downhill parts.
