the canyon is on both sides of the road as you drive with many look spots to park and take photos and take in the views of the canyon and blue waters of the bay around exmouth

great place to visit on your way into or out of town. Great views for miles in all directions. if you're info geology or canyons its a great place to look at the structure of the range. take a camera.

An easy drive up on mostly sealed road to the most spectacular views of the canyon and out to the Exmouth gulf

The views are absolutely stunning. The drive takes about 45 mins up and down if you stop here and there to take some photos.

The Canyon is excellent, but the views from the top of the canyon are what makes this place unforgettable. I have been a couple of times and always see something new

There was not much promotional information on Charles Knife Canyon in Exmouth but a local told us it was worth visiting. It is 21 kms south of Exmouth with 10 kms on well graded gravel road. The sign on the highway is small and you would miss it of you were not aware. When we got there we were absolutely amazed at the number of canyons and their depth. The road runs along a saddle and crisscrosses many of these canyons along its route. Having been to the Grand Canyon, it is certainly not as long, wide and as deep but it reminded us very much of a mini Grand Canyon. Well worth the visit. It seems a shame that the national park website has such a small amount of information on the area and the lack of interpretation signs was a disappointment. I have contacted them and hope this may be rectified in the future some time.
