We visited with our twin 6 year olds and thought we'd only be here half a day but spent pretty much 6 hours here by the time we saw the snake, koala and Crunch the Crocodile Show. Kids loved feeding the kangaroo's and being able to pat a koala and Wombat. The crocodile show is okay but the kids really liked it and that's all that matters!

We enjoyed very much there. The guided tour is informative and is especially suitable for visitors who can only afford half day there, though we spend a whole day in the park. Without extra cost,u can pat koala and wombat which is not available in many other similar parks. We pay more for the wombat encounter which is wonderful experience. So is the crocodile show and get-around with many free roaming animals: kangaroos, emus and alpaca.A good place for family day!

We had a fabulous time at this animal park. It is very interactive. We arrived in time for the 11:00 a.m. tour which was very informative. After lunch we heard more detailed talks on snakes, wombats etc. The highlight is the very docile and friendly kangaroos. Before we went we thought it was a bit expensive but not long there we realised it was worth every cent.

We really enjoyed the wildlife park. While there are bigger zoos, the Ballarat Wildlife Park focus on native Australian animals. Definitely get there in time for the park tour (free with admission). On the tour, you will get to feed and pet kangaroos and emus. You will also have the chance to pet a wombat and a koala. We also paid for the Koala Photo Shoot. We had our photos taken with a young koala and had the opportunity to pet the animal, feed it and take our own photos as well.Great for the money. We spent roughly 3 hours at the park and really enjoyed ourselves

The kangaroos are the main attraction. There are plenty of them, and they are all cute-sies. I did wonder if they were truly wild, though, as they were sometimes out of their habitat enclosures. Kids were petting them - safely! ??I was curious if the roaming animals were somewhat sedated, when an emu/ostrich tripped over his/her own feet, though recovered, so did not fall down. There was amusing creativity in the Tasmanian Tiger exhibit.I did wish the echidna enclosure had ...less...space, when I was unable to get a good photo without a better camera lens. The price is reasonable for the hours of experiencing joy in watching the unique offerings of the continent.I would purchase a family annual pass, if I lived in the area, for the darlingness of Australian animals!

My first thought for when I visited Australia was wildlife and my first stop was the Ballarat Wildlife Park. It was a great day out with a variety of animals. The staff were knowledgeable and informative. Feeding the animals especially the kangaroos and the photo opportunities with the koalas and the wombats was lovely. And I was even lucky enough to see a Tasmanian devil awake during the day!

A great place for visitors to Ballarat and Australia to get up close to the animals. Both kids and adults love it. Feeding the kangaroos is always enjoyed by young and old. Very informative presentations

Ballarat wildlife park visit was a surprise for Mother's Day and didn't disappoint. Lots to see and do for all the family. My little boy loved the wallabies that he fed and cuddled. A highlight was the huge crocodiles. Will visit again for sure.

This is an ideal place for a hands on wildlife experience. Have taken the family and international guests to this place on a few occasions and always found it to be a worthwhile experience. Being able to feed the kangaroos, cuddle a koala and see a wide range of Australia's reptiles is hard to beat. Facilities are modern, clean and appropriate for the venue. Recommended if you have a day or even half a day to spare in Ballarat.
