Nice to see the historic graves. Clean and ok. Quite central and easy to visit. The chinese part was nice.

Spend an afternoon or morning walking around this very historic place. If you go as part of a tour you may not have as long to look.

Brilliant!!!!. A spooky night amongst the dead. The stories told by the guide really bought those dead people to life. Lots of history here and lots of fun. Also go on the Ghost Tour of Ballarat by the same company. Remarkable storytelling bringing the ghost stories to life. A wonderful nights entertainment.

If you want to have a look at the cemetary, then you should check this. Very neat and cleanly maintained.

We visit many old and historic cemeteries throughout the country. This one is huge and is actually named the new cemetery and crematorium. It was okay to visit but it was not what we usually look for as far as history goes.

This Cemetary, was interesting, we had a look in the day time,. but there do a tour at night, which we didn't go to do, but I would say that if you have the time, do it.

Established gardens and trees are simply beautiful in autumn. Breathtakingly beautiful autumnal colours especially the flame red trees.

So much history here. I suppose some people think cemeteries are a bit morbid but this place, like no other, really helps link our present with our past in a thoughtful and sensitive way.

Interesting and full of history. Lots of old graves, give yourself plenty of time to look around. Can drive through, and always a lovely garden display. With a Chinese section up the top end.

Not far from Lake Wendouree is a historic place that is a repository of history,in the ground. Follow the main driveway from the magnificent wrought iron gates to reach the grave of the diggers who died defending the Eureka Stockade. Ironically, the graves of the soldiers who also fell are close by with a monument that was erected in their memory in 1879. Appropriately, between the graves of the diggers and the soldiers lies the bluestone pillar erected to the memory of James Scobie whose murder triggered the rebellion. There is a Chinese section nearby which fleshes out more of the rich seam of history.
