I have never played at this golf course while we have been visiting Ballarat, but this time I decided to try a new course and this was the nearest one to where we were staying...So happy that I did! The greens were kept beautifully and the course was pleasantly challenging!I played 18 holes and was able to make my way around the course without having extended waiting periods between the holes.Staff and facilities were very pleasant too!Will definitely play at Midlands again when next we are in Ballarat.

We booked a table for four as we were visiting Ballerat. Waitress didn't acknowledge us when we entered,we found our own table with our reservation name on it. Went to the till to order and waited to,be served. Then told that the Chef would be ten minutes while she served another function elsewhere. On her return our meals were brought to our table and we were told to help ourselves to,the Salads and hot veggies.All of which were tired dehydrated and not fit for eating....very disappointed.dont waste your money.

Midlads Gold Club caters exceptionally well for functions, with quality freshly prepared finger food and bar service good enough for at least four extended family wakes and one wedding!There is an intimate room that holds up to 60 comfortably, as well as a room ideal for between 100-300 people.As a guest at a very large function quite recently, all the courses were well presented and tasty. Audio was spot on and there was plenty of space, despite a capacity crowd.I have never eaten here in an intimate context, but I can highly recommend Midlands Golf Club as one of the better and reasonable priced venues for functions.That we chose it for the venue for my father's post funeral wake reception is about as high a recommendation as is possible.Another bonus is that it is located close to the Ballarat New Cemetery and Crematorium!The staff are wonderfully obliging and cope well, not just with weddings and funerals, but also large corporate functions, like the one I attended most recently.Highly recommended for such functions!

My Wife and I recently played golf at this course. The whole course was in top condition. Tee boxes were well maintained, the fairways were lush, generous, beautifully grassed and mown.The greens were in top condition and a pleasure to putt on. The overall course layout was flat but interesting, some water features, well bunkered.We were very happy to have been able to play this course, and highly recommend it as a course in excellent condition.
