    以前都是栓船的桩,现在都弄成雕塑柱子了。离市区非常近,走路距离吧。附近很多吃饭的地方,mordern australia口味居多,也有fish and chips。有个海鲜的buffet,也不知道现在关了没有。

Eastern Beach is now the hub of Geelong. Cafés, restaurants, bars, music and markets monthly it is terrific. Very close to CBD. Sand ordinary, not a beach, just named that. Parking difficult. Walkable anyway. Great people watching and buy the fresh mussels

Enjoy a stroll along Eastern Beach. Check out the bollards along the way. They offer an insight into the history of Geelong. The horseshoe pier is one of my favourite places to stroll. Pack a picnic or stop at one of the cafes along the way. Great place for the family. Oh and don't forget your bathers if you are up for a paddle.

its not Tahiti but for Victoria they have done this well.don't expect clear warm water but you'll get a bay side not ocean breeze

I visited this very large harbour pool in February 2015. Its just marvelous . Its also huge, well maintained and a great place for a swim . It has a paddle pool at one end for small children which I think was heated .It has a walkway around the entire perimeter of the pool . What a surprise to find the outside and also changing room showers were warm water !

What a gorgeous beach. Excellent to walk along, ride along or even swim along. Sensational views, very well maintained by the City. Lush green lawns for picnics. Truly beautiful.

great for picnics, swimming or just enjoying the outdoors. Some of the carpark is ticketed but not all. There is a cafe too.

Eastern Beach is a lovely beachfront development that caters superbly to both locals and visitors. The sea baths are a huge assent for the community. Add to this beautifully maintained gardens, BBQ areas, cafes etc. There are also some 150 fun bollards on display made from old pier posts in the 1990s.We took a free shuttle around Geelong with driver Chris and informative and fun commentary from Brendan. Optional stops on the tour were at the Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery and Wool MuseumIt was an absolute pleasure to have visited Geelong. I plan to return again..

Except for occasionally racing down the highway from Melbourne for business reasons I hadn't been to Geelong for many, many years and was more than impressed with how the Eastern Beach / Geelong waterfront has developed. It is truly a lovely spot with its sweeping lawns, BBQ areas, cafes, sculptures, children's play grounds and my favourite - the bollards. I don't know how many there are but each represents a different aspect of Geelong's history such as seafarers, life savers, a 19th century military band, a sailor chatting up a tart as well as various peoples and occupations. We really enjoyed just wandering around this wonderful area soaking up the atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Eastern Beach is as pretty as it is functional. The sea baths are awesome and the kiddies toddler pool makes it great for families. The park is beautifully maintained, patrolled by life guards and a great jump off place for a paddle on Corio Bay or a ride on the many roads and paths in tranquil surrounds.

I wish we had more time in Geelong! The town was lovely. I loved the neighborhoods so clean and pretty. EasternBeach was lovely. I loved the 150 Ballards created from old pier posts in the 90's. The shuttle around town was fun with lovely guides. We loved the whole day including enjoying a light beer at the Geelong Yach Club while watching a bagpiper play all of my favorites!

This is a very pleasant spot for a swim, stroll or playground for the little ones, complete with good coffee spot.

Geelong Eastern Beach is a wonderful area for recreation and is sited at the east end of a fascinating waterfront. With sweeping lawns, a fenced pool in the bay with its own boardwalk and a safe pool on land there are places for games and BBQ's. Enjoy the café or take a walk to investigate the bollards. There are over 100 of these unique sculptures which depict the history of Geelong and you can walk the length (3.5 km) of the bollard trail. Along the way there are many features to enjoy with cafes, Royal Geelong Yacht Club, playgrounds, the floating fish and chip shop, the historic Carousel, helicopter rides, boat moorings, historic wool store buildings (now Deakin University) and pier used by sailing ship transports, the "train" rides to save walking all make this a great place to spend time. The best part - this is just the gateway to the Surf Beaches, the Great Ocean Road, the Bellarine Peninsula with its wineries and access to small coastal towns and "the Rip" entry for Port Phillip. I am a Geelong resident and get to enjoy these attractions as often as I choose.
