I've been to many mazes with the kids and they were frankly freaked out by the darkness and narrowness of some of the passages. They were in desperate need of some trimming! Food was overpriced and very slow service by the one person looking after the cafe. Better places to visit elsewhere.

Look, this is not the best maze or attraction and it is a bit run down, but I feel the reviews on this site are a it harsh. The maze is still a nice place to visit, is close to the Bright area, so if you are within this region, why not stop in and make the decision yourself.I have seen far too many reviewers rebuke an attraction, then other's, advocate the same place within a few weeks. We had a nice afternoon out, the choice is yours!

The whole establishment needs a lot of TLC. We were getting knocked out by thorned branches on the way in, could smell dead animals, the gardens and hedge was dying. We did the mini golf and the whole 9H course was very old and overgrown. Couldn't play properly due to the garden sticking out over the course. it's not powered by the wheel anymore and even if the water was up- the powered things are no longer there.. Except one solar powered wheel. Just slack. And for $8 each you'd expect they could get out there and clean up a bit. Just lazy and let go.

Recently we took our two kids (4 years and 6 years) to the Wandiligong Maze for a day trip. The Maze itself is very well manicured and well shaded. The kids had a ball taking the lead and deciding which direction or path we were going to follow. The Maze took us about 40 minutes to complete. It cost us $23 for entry and we found worth the cost for the enjoyment. We decided to stay for and eat lunch from the café. The surrounding gardens are amazingly beautiful, the kids had a great time running laps around the rotunda. Lunch was slightly expensive and I felt a little let down at the quality of the food (I probably wouldn't purchase the food again) - although in saying that the cakes on display looked amazing and I wouldn't have minded having a slice.I think for a nice day out with Coffee and Cake - Wandiligong Maze would be the place to go, but if you want to have lunch, maybe go into town instead.I would probably rate this a 3.5 in all, we will be back.

Other reviewers rated this poorly but our kids (4 and 2) had a great time leading us through the maze to the platforms and back out again without cheating (via the wooden doors). We didn't stop at the cafe but it looked fine to me, if a little on the pricey side. Our visit was on a non-school holiday Wednesday, so maybe that was the difference between us and the other reviewers. Summary: it's a basic, slightly overpriced hour or so of fun for a family with young kids.

It claims to be Australia's largest maze! Hmm I don't think so. It's a well established maze and a bit of fun for the kids but the extremely poor service in the cafe / ticket sales area really destroyed the visit. I can't believe that on a Saturday afternoon in school holidays there was only one staff member serving food, drinks and entry tickets. The people in the queue in front of us gave up waiting in disgust !! The food was nice once we got it but the service needed some speed and a smile .

Our group of 4 adults and 4 children arrived. When we paid the lady (who has little skill in customer service!) was fully aware I would be pushing a buggy through maze - didn't say anything and let me pay. Suffice to say, she should have suggested I wouldn't last long and not to bother. Instead she let me waste my money. Then we decide to have something in the cafe. We wait 20 mins in the queue and when it is finally our turn, I ask what type of teas there are, she answers and then says 'while you decide I will go and prepare some meals!' - are you serious??!!! So we wait another 10 mins but when she has not returned, we leave. Why was there 1 (not very good) person working there for ticket and cafe sales on a Saturday afternoon in school holidays? A v frustrating afternoon for our party. And completely unnecessary - it could have been quite nice if cheaper and more thoughtful...

We went along for a bit of fun a group of four, the tourist brochure made the maze look beautiful similar to ones in the UK and Europe. We started with coffee and scones, the coffee was weak like drinking warm milk the scones were ok. The coffee shop and lawn were in a very poor stat with grass above the ankle weeds in the garden and inside the coffee shop needed a good clean. The maze appeared to have not been trimmed for a couple of years doors were off their hinges. The output course had moss growing all over it. We didn't attempt put put for fear of slipping over. The water wheel which looks great in the pictures no longer operates and the dam is sits in is almost dry. All in All a sad place to visit.

Went with a group of 8 children and was greeted by a rude staff member. We had pre booked and asked if the children could bring snacks and was told yes. Then confronted and humiliated in front of dozens of other patrons. The maze is worth seeing but avoid the catering. The prices are high for the food on offer. We chose not to purchase a thing after the way we were treated. This had been one of many excursions there and it will be the last.

We took 7 kids to this and planned to have a coffee at the cafe whilst they explored the maze. For the cost of $10 a child, the 3 minutes it took them to complete the maze was just not worth it. We had to send them back to complete the maze 5 times so we could finish our coffee. The kids (aged 8-13) told us they were disappointed. The cafe itself is fine.
