I had booked my daughter in for her first ever lesson (Miss 11).. and I ended up doing the lesson with her... was the best decision ever... I totaly loved it! Deano and his dog Mango ... were fantastic.. thank you !!! best instructor ever!!! will definitely keep using... 1 for the bucket list!! lol

When I was in Torquay for the first time I thought I may as well try surfing for the first time.The location is really cool and the staff are friendly. We had a quick trip to a small beach perfect for begginners and after a bit of quality instruction we were off.A lot of it was learning as you go and the staff were there to offer little pointers and tips whilst you practiced.Will most definitely use again if I was in Torquay.

As a first timer, the entire team were absolutely brilliant. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and just all round fun guys. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, and were by far the best value we found! See you guys next Friday!

I'd had surf lessons before but could never get up. The lesson was clear and straightforward and our instructor Deano made it really fun. Got up four times!My mate and are are coming back in a few weeks for another lesson.

Kev was a fantastic instructor for our private surfing lesson. The boys at the shop were friendly and helpful as well. Kev was funny, patient and terrific with the young kids. Point Addis didn't disappoint - the waves were big enough to feel successful but not so big that you were scared. Great day - we'll be back for a couple more lessons before we hire some boards and hit the surf.

Terrific way for the kids to get confident on a surfboard while also having a really fun time. Kev was really patient and passed on his knowledge in simple, easy to understand ways. Everyone keen to go back for more which is a great outcome. Highly recommend!

We had a very good experience with these guys. Good advice and very helpful. Me and my friend just hired the boards and suits and they gave us all the local info. Highly recommended!

Torquay Surf was a fantastic experience, with helpful and friendly staff looking out for us and keeping us safe in the water, and a quick and easy lesson to help get us oriented before we paddled out. I felt like a proper idiot flapping about in the surf, but it was incredibly fun. Our one-off lesson was well-priced to fit a travelers budget, and included rental of all equipment...clean, high-quality wetsuit and pretty decent foam board. Would definitely go back to these guys throughout the summer season to rent equipment and hit the waves again! Definitely hit The Milk Bottle for a well-earned burger and cider afterwards...

We are beginners and the trainer taught us bit by bit until we could stand on the board. I will definitely come back again.

My 7 and 5 year olds attended the surf academy, and did 2 lessons with Kev. They had the best time and were up and random within about 10 mins. Kev was simply brilliant with the kids and they loved him. He was very approachable and just a lovely bloke. I would not hesitate in going back. The whole team were awesome and friendly. Well done guys.

We (dad & mum & 2 teenages) took the in-store "quick start to surfing" lesson and then hit the beach; it was the perfect way to start at a really good price. We've never surfed before and Ray and Deano were extra paitient; important for an old guy like me.I was completely exhausted after 90 mins of surfing so you don't need any longer in the first instance. Post surfing review (what to try next time) was very helpful.

Had a 2 hr Beginner Session with Gal & Deano who were amazing. Their proactiveness & guidance in the water got me up & riding the waves a countless amount of times!!! A week earlier had a lesson with a competitor located on The Great Ocean Road who made us draw our surfboards in the sand & I found I struggled to work out where I should actually be positioned on the real thing in the water! Was told of 3 diff positions!!! Got up only once that whole session which was extremely disappointing. Not to mention the fact that I waited in my car for some time (I drove myself) for the surf instructor to pick up the group's lunch order before then driving on from the shop for another 20mins to Anglesea!!! Start time wasn't exactly start time as per booking either! Would highly recommend Torquay Surf Academy because they are prompt, friendly & provide you with THE upmost invaluable enjoyable experience!!! 10/10

Went to Torquay surfing academy on advise of a friend and i wasn't disappointed! I was welcomed openly and was helped straight away. They helped me with a surfboard and a suit and I got a lot of helpful tips on to which beach to go and when is the best time to go surfing in Torquay. I was so happy with Torquay surf academy that the next day I went on a "surf safari" with them, on this safari you go surfing on a few different beaches in one day(depending on your surf experience). Dean my surf instructor helped me out a lot and was always there ready to give me tips when needed. In surf academy you could see that they want to give you the best surf experience possible and that they really love their work.I am going back there as soon as i can!

Ray is so nice and helpful, he remembers my friends and I each week we go. Has great advice and clearly loves his job. I look forward to going to the beach each week and knowing I will get a friendly welcome when hiring gear. Thank you TSA
