The wines that are produced at La Cantina are preservative free and as a result long cellaring periods are not an option. The wine is therefore young and fresh, without the complex favours produced by aging. The maximum aging period is between 3 to 5 years. The wine is excellent and particularly well priced with an amazing number of varieties on offer including Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Barbera and Saperavi. We were attended by Mr Gino Corsini who spoke of his Italian background and transition of the farm from producing tobacco to becoming a vineyard. It is worth a visit just to see the Cellar Door building with its thick walls, high ceiling and massive wooden doors.Definitely consider a visit

Something different ! No preservatives - and a fortified. We quite enjoy the Shiraz and the new fortified wine. Worth a taste and a visit. If just for the setting.

Allergic to preservative 220 I find it hard to source good preservative free wines. La Cantina's charming and rustic cellar door is inviting and reminiscent of the Italian style on which they base their wine making. The wines are extremely good value for money ($16-22 per bottle) and I can highly recommend the nebiollo and barbera for red wine lovers!
