The Meadows is Victoria's chief greyhound racing venue. It is purpose built and modern, a facility incorporating a stadium, a function centre, open-air watching areas, and legal gambling. I visited with a couple who breed and race greyhounds interstate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the facility functions. Race meets are held during the day and at night on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Broadmeadows is an outer northern suburb of Melbourne. One way to reach The Meadows by road is to head up the Hume Highway toward Campbellfield, turn left into Camp Road, cross the rail line, and look for the right turn into Northcorp.
