skydive the beach and beyond great ocean road

My brother and I booked skydiving for our dads birthday. It was something all 3 of us wanted to do but we never thought we actually would so it was a perfect time to just make the booking! We were booked in for 9:30 however there was a tiny delay due to some low dark clouds. But we only waited maybe until 10 and it was time to get ready! The place was comfortable to wait at and the staff members were all very friendly. We all purchased the Gold video and photo package and what a great idea that was. All of the instructors were asking questions and filming us beforehand and it was just a great experience! Up in the plane we went to 14,000ft. Solo jumpers went first and then it was our go. Dad was probably the most scared - I was fine until I watched the solo jumpers then got very nervous. But after that initial jump - WOW!!! What an experience!! I was no longer scared and I was just soaking it all in! It goes so fast but the ride back down to the ground was amazing. The freefall lasted about 1 minute and the parachute ride was just mindblowing. Beautiful views! My instructor, Benoit, was pointing out different areas of Victoria, the Great Ocean Road and would answer any questions I had while gliding along. Then come the landing and it was actually quite smooth considering I felt we were coming in very fast. The instructors just seemed to loved the jump as much as we did which was awesome - they were all great people! All 3 of us loved it and couldn't believe what we had just done. We waited around while the video was created and watched a couple of others jump. Unfortunately in one of the planes after us a gentleman couldn't go ahead with the jump and come back down in the plane (which the staff said was quite uncommon). The staff were very friendly about this and even offered him to give it another go. It was quite sad to see he didn't go ahead with it because while it can be quite nerve racking, you would not regret it after making the jump!! I definately recommend skydiving and Skydive the Beach and Beyond at Great Ocean Road was an amazing experience! I can't wait to go again and again and again! With this in mind generally a half day is suggested to allow for a tandem skydive.We don't allow customers to wear their own GoPros for safety reasons unfortunately, but the various packages we offer are of premium quality.
