A perfect day on the Bulgun all to ourselves. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had lots of laughs and a few spills - just an excuse to cool off on a very hot day. Great damper - compliments to the chef. Great team bonding experience.

If you're looking for an indigenous experience with a difference then you won't go wrong. Camp out on tribal land swim in local rivers and learn all about indigenous culture tutored by the unique wisdom and wit of Dougie. If you're especially lucky you'll meet other members of his extended family and perhaps he will suggest a bit of 'spotlighting' to views native animals after dark!!! An unforgettable experience. Dougie will enrich and educate you in a quiet sincere and genuine manner

A highlight of our trip to Mission Beach was our day kayaking the Bulgun River, a tributary of the Tully R., with local indigenous couple Sonya and Doug. Beautiful surroundings, exciting rapids and the excellent kayaks made for a special experience. Doug's local knowledge of the plants, wildlife and aboriginal customs made us feel privileged to share this natural wonderland. Great value and something we will certainly aim to do again some time.

What a wonderful day out to compliment a Girls Weekend Away. Sonya, Caroline and Doug were fantastic guides - super friendly and full of fun, definitely made the day more enjoyable. The Bulgan Creek was amazing - although we travelled 8ks over the day the scenery interspersed with mini rapids was always interesting. The damper (made that morning by Sonya) was fresh, hot and absolutely divine. We had a truly wonderful day and are already planning our next trip to do the same kayaking trip we enjoyed it that much.Nothing but the highest recommendations for all ages and fitness levels - can't wait to go back!!!

After deciding to have a weekend away with work mates we thought we would give the Ingan Kayaking Tour a go. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, patient and made the day really enjoyable for us all. We had a blast and I haven't laughed so much in a long time. The river is truly a hidden gem and I will be taking the kids and hubby back next time. As a group we loved the pick up from Mission Beach. Highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Had a fantastic day out with a great bunch of girls from work, gut wrenchingly funny as we channelled our inner Bear Grylls, failed miserably at being a good kayaker and laughed so much my sides still hurt. Top guides (thanks Doug and Caroline for pulling me off those darned rocks so many times!!!), absolutely gorgeous scenery - a mix of tranquility and hilarity with all the yak-eyeing and banter we went on with. Hope the others got our wackey sense of Aussie humor!!! Loved the cultural experience and will definitely recommend widely. Thanks Sonya for the damper and great big hug at the end, you guys are on a winner!!!

The whole family loved the Ingan Kyack tour - Caroline was a great guide, ensuring we knew how best to make it through the trickier sections. She was extremely patient as one or other of us managed to get stuck along the way. Kyacks were easy to use- just the people steering them not so clever!A beautiful setting, an easy pace with great knowledge from Caroline about the local people & country & the uses of plants found along the river. Our 7 yo doubled with Caroline for a lot of the day as he wasn't strong enough to manage the kyack all the way. He also had a chance to paddle on his own which was a perfect combination for him. Would recommend to all as a beautiful day on the river but definitely for any parents out there who miss having a more active adventure because it's too much for the kids!

Thank you Sonya and Dougie. We had a wonderful day - even better than we expected. You were so good with our kids. Thank you. The damper was yummy! Dougie was an excellent, informative, patient and professional guide. We would all love to do it again tomorrow. :-)

The Spirit of the Rainforest Walk by Ingan Tours is a very interesting and informative tour of this secluded and historical part of the world. The profesionalism and knowledge of our indigenous quide was remarkable. My family and myself really enjoyed all stories told by our guide. The walk itself is a true bushwalk and has an challenging river crossing along the way. But it certainly is worth the effort. Highly recommended!

Wow - we were all so impressed with our kayaking tour - AND that delicious damper :) From the outset the friendliness and professionalism of the company stood out. Our tour guide Doug is a very experienced kyaker and loves what he does - it shines through as he guides you on the tour! He was well informed and really friendly. We learned about the beautiful trees that fringed the Bolgan and how the Aboriginal people can use them to read the weather! Fascinating......It really was a joy to get an insight into the culture and to do so as we floated down the cleanest river I have ever seen! The crystal clear waters were so welcoming we all hopped in for a dip! I would highly recommend this to anyone and will ensure that any of my family and friends that visit Mission Beach have it "to do" as top of their list. Thank you for a fantastic day out!!

Thanks Doug and Sonya for our great time on the kayak tour. It was definitely one of the top things we did on our 4 week trip. The kids had great fun and we all treasure the special memories we will never forget. Special hug from Rosie (captain) for Doug !
