There is a good walking track that takes you through lovely wooded vegetation. It's takes about 15 - 20 mins to reach the top. Great views of the city and mountains that line the west of Brisbane. Anytime of the day is good to walk but if you can make it for sunrise it is simply beautiful. On a side note - The coffee shop is closed down.

Been to the lookout many times and it is magnificent - easy parking also. Another matter is the restaurant. Seems to have opening hours to suit the staff when they turn up! When we have struck it lucky and dined here the food was fair but the staff seemed very amateurish but quite pleasant. I think the establishment needs a good shake up.

Great view out over the city. Fantastic in the evening with all the lights.Does have a cafe, but didn't seem to be open, which was strange. Plus a children's play area which was ok, but limited with equipment.

From time to time we seem to have a number of visitors to Brisbane. We used to go to Mt Coottha lookout which is acrosstown for us and very busy and hard to sometimes get a park. We now go to Mt Gravatt lookout, easy to park and easy to work out where everything is. There is a restaurant up tere too which speaking to some visitors up there, they said it was very pleasant place with good food. Unless we were over the other side of town for any reason we will continue to go to Mt Gravatt

Smog and noise was yuck but some of the view was ok.Be careful of belongings and shifty characters up there!

Went hiking up to the mountain with 14 friends, went to the kiosk veranda for coffee but buying coffees was not good enough for the staff to let us use their toilets (it's the only toilet on the mountain), we were told that we had also to buy food from the kiosk before we would get access .....unhappy visitors!

Took my girlfriend here and watched the sunset. I am so happy with the experience im reviewing whilst sitting at the table. 'BEST THICKSHAKES IN TOWN'

Sunday June 22. Thought i'd take my girlfriend up there for our morning coffee and to show her the view. The view is fantastic. Equal to Mt Cootha except for trees blocking the view but that adds to the natural setting. I should go on about the view because the coffee was terrible. Too hot and sour for both of us. Binned them after a few sips. Havent eaten there so cannot coment on the food. The views nice though..

We called in at the Echidna Cafe on Mount Gravatt on our way from the Tamborine Mountains to Brisbane. Our sat nav had a bit of an issue finding it and sent us to the university on the next hill. When we got there, it was well worth it, the views are stunning and the cafe was very good. Nice cup of coffee and a slice of cake mid morning. I didn't think the prices were too bad given the location.Worth a look in.

Good view of brisbane. The price for the coffee is excellent and tastes great. The quality and price of the food way too expensive.

After living in the northern suburbs for 30 years, we chanced upon this lookout when searching for a picnic spot at which to meet our son, who lives on the Gold Coast. We took our 2 small grandchildren with us. We were very impressed by the whole set-up: magnificent view - much better than Mt Coot-tha (from memory), a nice little picnic area where we could throw a ball, and an excellent cafe where we were able to get decent coffee (+ice-blocks for the kids!). The staff at the cafe were very welcoming and friendly. The cafe seemed well patronised, but I did not notice the opening hours, so cannot comment on that. We shall certainly bear this area in mind when next we entertain interstate or overseas guests.

Get up there are see Brisbane from its best perspective. A 360 degree panoramic view lets you understand the scale of the City and why it is built the way it was. You can also envisage how the 2011 floods cause such havoc. Great walks in this place too.

There a great views and it's not too far from the city. There was some wildlife (lizards, birds and butterflies) which I wasn't really expecting. If you want a better look at the city bring some binoculars because the ones at the look out cost $2 a go.

A different view from Mt Cootha and up close and worth the effort . I must go back as I believe there are more attractions these days ...

Well if you do not like travelling all the way to Mt Cootha, well this is a better alternative. Its a good place to chill out with a girlfriend which the atmosphere is kinda the same as Mt Cootha. Well the shop is usually closed and at most occations is not open so I would recommend bringing a snack and a jumper for your visit.
