I was staying at the beach house at Cape Tribulation on my own and decided to take an afternoon out to horse ride. I felt a little nervous as a non rider but the owner knew which horse would suit me and he wasn't wrong Thunder was great took me out through the rain forest and on the beach it was a great experience one i will never forget. We even did a canter along the beach which was brilliant. The horses obviously love what they do as much as the owners love their job and horses.I fully recommend taking the opportunity to do a horse ride on the beautiful beach and rainforest even if a non rider.

We spent the day in Cape Tribulation and did the afternoon ride. It is definitely something we would recommend to anyone going to Cape Tribulation. The guides were great and the horses very well behaved, with small guide to rider numbers it enabled us to be able to get the most out of the time we had on the horses.

My daughter and I did this ride while we were visiting the Rain Forest; neither of us had ridden for a couple of years and a number of our group had never ridden before, but the horses are so good there was nothing to worry about. The route is stunning, and I will be riding it in my memory for years to come. We did loads of brilliant things on our holiday, like snorkelling on the Reef, and this was one of the best of all. Do it even if you have never ridden before!

Couldn't of asked for a better experience...Not only was the manager the most well mannered down to earth man he was also so deeply involved and truly loved the work he did.In the morning whilst we waiting to be picked up time ticked past until we began to worry so we asked the lovely Lady "Georgie" at Cape tribulation beach house to look into in and she found our booking agency (PETERPAN) had not actually booked us in, yet took our money. Thanks to Georgie And the kind and open heart of the manager out at "Cape trib horse riding" they took us for a private AMAZING tour... Thank You you made the beginning of 2015 a big deal and something to try and top.CHEERS XOX

Everyone in our family loved this ride, but the ride should be a bit more challenging (cantering a lot of the way). Overall, an amazing experience.

My wife and I spent our afternoon at the Cape Tribulation Horse Rides. We did the afternoon Ride and it was beautiful. The ride went through parts of the daintree rainforest national park to the Beach. We were in a group of seven with two guides. Fortunately they were able to care about everyones needs so that everyone got what she/he was wishing for. Long passages of cantering (of course on the beach too which was one of the most awesome experiences I've ever had) were included. The beach itself was beautiful, "locals" sitting on the beach were very friendly (One of them offered me a Beer if I would come back :) ). My wife and I have a Quarterhorse mare which lives in retirement within a herd outside all day, like the horses live here. Out all day with all their buddies, they have freedom and plenty of space. I felt really lucky to see how those horses live and in what good condition they are. Of course they don't look like dressage horses that are brushed all day. But that's live. And especially the one of horses living in a herd all day long (but they are happy). I love that place, I even asked if I could stay and work there (which is of course not). ;)Thanks again for that beautiful afternoon Special thanks to Lea and JD.

I'd been wanting to do this ride for a while but was concerned that my partner had never ridden a horse. The guide was so helpful and taught my partner the basics even enough so that he cantered twice. Beautiful scenery and the horses are well taken care of. A great way to truly see how the forest meets reef. Once we are more experienced it sounds like the couples ride will be amazing.

The best thing about this mob is that they obviously love their horses and look after them like their own babies. Well done!!! One of the lead guides is a vet nurse and has worked with horses all her life. She was excellent with an eye focused on safety and another discrete eye on riding abilities. Although Canadian she knew the area, the local stories and lay of the land really well.

Nice horses, exceptional views, in the forest and on the beach. Small groups that allow instructors attention and teaching.

My friends did a trip with them on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Ashley our guide was really lovely and we really enjoyed the views and the experience. If you are looking for a nice activity to do in Cape Tribulation this is a good one to choose!!

Best thing my friend and I have done in Australia so far! Neither of us know much about horses but these guys were brilliant at making you feel like a pro in no time! We went on two rides with them, and both were completely different. The guides know their areas, and can show you things along the way. On our first ride we were lucky enough to spot a croc on the opposite beach! The ranch is beautiful, the horses have loads of room and are clearly loved by the people who work there, I can't recommend highly enough.

Once in a lifetime ride along the beach between two world heritage areas. Steve was helpful, knowledgeable and entertaining!

Great experience, the horses are really calm and great for my 8 year old to experinece riding solo. We even got to Canter along the stunning Cape Trib beach, wind in the hair!

Once you get past the very very bumpy ride to the stables, you can already see how well trained all the horses are. From there, your skill level is given a horse and you can ready yourself and get to know the horse. The trainers had excellent knowledge of even what order to line the horses up so to minimise any behaviour slip ups between the horses. The tracks we walked were beautiful going from rainforest to beach to a grassy area! never got old. At first I wasn't very keen on cantering, but within a small canter with the horse ride, my confidence sky rocketed and I couldn't have done that anywhere else!
