We called in at Bollon for morning tea and walked across the road to look through the locally operated Heritage Centre. The folk on duty were justly proud of their display of a wide variety of things from their past which gave a picture of life in times past. A time before electricity, cars and refrigeration. The first telephone exchange is also part of the display as is a very large 'coolgardie safe' with its walls packed with charcoal to keep food sweet and cool. Also on display are albums which give the story of many local families. It is well worth a visit and there is a beautiful shady spot by the river adjacent to the centre which is very peaceful too.
