On New Years day we went to go here but found the park closed early because of it being a public holiday. That was no problem for us as we could come back the next day as we were staying locally for a few days. The thing is the man at the counter suggested we still come in now for the $89 family price( it being for myself and my 2 young kids) but it was closing in only 1.5 hours. When I said to the man it was closing soon he said you can still come in and you'll have time to catch a few fish. But for $89 1.5 hours seemed a bit steep. So I said that we would come back tomorrow and that I might get the groupon vouchers for us as it was a cheaper option at $75 for the 3 of us at $25 each). Upon hearing that the man said that he was pretty sure that all the 'Groupon' allocations were gone for the next day which sounded strange because you don't need to book ahead if you have groupon vouchers and the next day was only a Friday not a weekend day. He then said that I should take this other $89 family deal instead because you get an extra bag of animal feed (small bag of grass) and an extra animal encounter) and extra bucket of bait. Well we came the next day and were only given one bag of animal feed instead of 2 and one small bucket of bait instead of 2 even though it was the same man from the day before and he remembered us. Then at some point while we there the manager's young son took off with one of our 2 rods. Luckily the young man who was helping us to fish got the other rod back. My kids had a good time with the fishing and looking at and feeding the animals but I have no idea what they refer to in their advertising as an animal encounter as there was nothing like that offered and there was no bottle feeding of the piglet offered either which you can see in the main photo on website and which I had enquired about the day before. When I asked the man on leaving what the animal encounters were he said that you can go inside 2 of the enclosures. I don't know which ones he meant as most of them seem to have no access and there was a young piglet there but when I asked about feeding it I don't remember what his excuse was but these so called animal encounters are nothing more than feeding some animals some grass and some birds some grains. Anyway while we there I saw a young family feed the animals and then go to buy another bag of grass. I asked they said $5. For a small bag of grass! It got worse when I went to buy refreshments for my kids and I before leaving. We bought 3x lemonade Popsicles that usually retail at $1.00 absolutely everywhere else I've seen and a 600ml bottle of soft drink and a small magnet for a total of over $19. There was no pricing in the ice cream freezer or drinks fridge and the man didn't say the price of the items as he rung them up, just put them onto the till and then said that's be $19 and something cents. No receipt offered either- just seemed a bit shonky. By my reckoning that meant the normally $1 Popsicles must have been $3.50 each and the soft drink $6. I left feeling quite ripped off. about the whole place. It's an otherwise nice place for a family outing but the owners seem like they are after every cent they can get from unsuspecting punters. I never normally feel ripped off but I certainly did there. I therefore cannot recommend this place.

Saw a deal on Groupon for $29 which includes fishing, animal encounter and jumping castle so we decided to buy 2 vouchers for 2 adults and just pay for entry for my 3 yr old since he won't have patience to do much fishing and we won't be doing the jumping castle so he can use that. When we got there the staff said we have to upgrade the entry ticket for the 3yr old to the same as ours since he too will be using the rods n feeding the animals. Thing is we already paid extra for the voucher since the adults weren't going to use the jumping castle and the animal feeding only comes with one bag of food regardless if you have two or three people in the group. We end up paying extra $14 to upgrade the child entry ticket just so we can get in but we still only got 2 rods and one small bucket of bait. So I honestly don't understand why we had to pay extra when the amount of things they provide is exactly the same for two or three people?? Especially when it's just for a 3 year old. If they had specified on the vouchers that the whole group has to all have the same vouchers then I wouldn't have a problem with that but the fact that you won't know until you get there annoys me. If I had known I wouldve got the $25 voucher that does not include the jumping castle for all of us and just paid for my child's jumping castle experience when I got there so it would be cheaper. In the end the kids had a good time with the animals and jumping castle and we caught a few fish, if I didn't feel ripped off I would probably go there again but in my case I think I'll just spend my money else where

Wow, We finally decided to go to EcoPark in Luscombe. Why have we not visited earlier I now ask myself??It was the best, cheapest day out we've had in a long time. The fishing was amazing, We all caught a fish. Large Parrots that can be hand fed in a large enclosures set in a natural environment, Ostriches, baby pigs, sheep. All for you and the kids to feed. They had a jumping castle and the most relaxing environment I've ever been surrounded. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Will be telling all my friends about ECOPARK

My son and I are keen fishers so we really enjoyed it and caught loads. Just looking at the reviews below and noticed a few people complaining they didn't catch anything, and would suggest a few things to catch more fish.1) The fish are very smart here and will remove your bait in the blink of an eye. Watch your line carefully, as sometimes the only indication you have a bite is that it's moved slightly. 2) If you haven't had a bite after 2 minutes, reel it in and rebait. Chances are they've sucked your bait off. 3) Don't put too much bait on and make sure that the hook is showing.4) Try chucking in a few bits of the dried out bait that you can't use in the shallows to attract the fish and putting your bait in there - make sure it's on the bottom. My son got a couple of biggies that way.If you are going with kids, you will probably be spending a lot of time putting bait on - it's not the sort of fishing where you cast out and leave it for half an hour

The park is very clean, also the animals are healthy. It's a relaxing, fun place. It's an art to catch a fish, but once you get the hang of it no worries. Both brothers who own the park were helpful and very friendly

The park was empty which was a plus. Very expensive to get in. Cost over a $100 for one adult and two children to fish. Caught one small fish all day. Fish not at all interested in bait. Kids had an okay time but disappointed at lack of fish. I was disappointed at no fish and price of admission. Probably won't go back.

We spent all day here fishing and when we didn't manage to reel in any fish the guy that worked there caught 2 fish one each for our girls to bring in and take photos which was nice. They had a ball with the animals there. Only tip would be is to bring your own food it is like the Theme Parks for price.

I recently visited the Ecopark attraction with my son, to have some quality Father/son time. After arriving at the park, I was surprised at the cost $37 per adult, children over 11 are also charged at adult prices. My son is 12, which I mentioned, with the hope of getting a cheaper price for him, alas, this was knocked back. I thought, $74 for the two of us to catch a number of fish is a bit pricey, but hey, I was almost guaranteed of catching something, or so I thought. After handing over the cash, the rods and food was explained, at which time I was told that the fish's metabolism was a bit slow, being winter. I guess this was Ecopark's way of saying you've got no chance. There was approximately 100 people at the park, most were fishing. We were there for four hours, we caught nothing, and we were not alone. I saw a total of 3 fish being caught over that period. There were plenty of fish, we could see them, but it was obvious that they were 1. overfed, or 2. its winter time, they just don't feed very often.I talked to one of their helpers and they told me the fish are not biting because it winter time, during summer people regularly catch 20 fish each. I wished they told me this before I handed over my cash. If I wanted to catch nothing, I could go to the local river and do that for free. It would be fairer if they warn people of this, or maybe drop their prices during winter when there is a reduced chance for catching a fish.I understand there are no guarantees in catching a fish even in a fish farm, but 3 fish for 100 people fishing over a four hour period, for a cost of $37 per adult is a ripoff. My advice, don't go there in winter, or at least ring them up and talk to them on how many people are catching fish on a regular basis.Overall disappointing and expensive.

We bought a discount coupon online months ago and was going to go on ANZAC Day. Unfortunately, just about everything closes in Queensland on ANZAC Day so we went today instead. The weather was great with the occasional overcast, making it perfect for outdoor fun!Our drive was around 40 min and it was an easy drive. We have packed an Esky full of goodies and arrived just after 10:15am. The 6 y.o. was super excited and would not stop talking at the reception. Once we were given our rods and baits, we got some very handy help from Brendan who was there to help everyone to get the most out of a great day of fishing. With a little effort, we caught our first fish of the day almost immediately. It was just a baby so we threw him back in without a photo. There were plenty of shades so we got ourselves a spot to do some serious "fishing". The Mrs. got the hang of putting the bait on the hook like she had been doing this all her life (it's her first time fishing). One fish after another, we caught 3 rather impressive size fish. The first took swallowed the hooks so we had to cut the line, but the third one was rather easy to get the hook off.We had lunch at the shelter and the 6 y.o. spent a long time playing jumping castle with lots of other children. We also did the petty zoo and farm animals thing as the feeding was included in our entry. The collection of animals was much larger than we expected so we had a great time. There was also a giant chess set near the canteen and we had a couple of quick games as well. A big selections of ice creams were available so the 6 y.o. had a chocolate one.We packed up around 2 ish and got home around 3pm.As far as fishing goes, this is about as easy for beginners as it would ever get. No stress and 100% success even if you have no idea whats going on.And if your little ones get bored within the first 30 seconds, there is plenty to do to keep him or her happy. Plenty of parents had their kids in the jumping castle while they work on the line and then shout "Quick, mum caught a fish, come and look!"The staff were very friendly and it was a great day out.Cheaper than going to camping store buying rods and gears and use it once per year and may not catch anything.

It is a place for those like catching lots of fish. I went there with my partner in the morning and spent 5-6 hours there. Once I cast my bait in, I saw lots of forearm length fish swim close. The staff taught me how to fish and seems they would help anyone who couldn't catch a fish within the first 15 mins! So my partner and I finally caught the first fish of our life there, even I have been fishing many times. And the family next to us caught 15 fish and a couple caught 10.Other choices are feeding the animals like miniature horses, sheep, goats. They are very friendly, for me, it was a good break from fishing too.I may bring our own food next time, choices there were a few pie or sausage roll when we were there.

Stopped by this pace to have a look with my family and we ended up staying the day. My 2 year old son loved it and so did I and my partner. Caught four fish in the first hour I was there and had an absolute blast! Staff are so friendly! Went on a Friday and had the place to ourselves, it was great! So many things to check out! Will be back again soon!
