We had a great day with the team at Reef 2 Beach Surf School. I couldn't believe it was only $17…the best $17 we have ever spent. It has definitely made us want to try more surfing. The only downside was the size of the group. It was too large and people just weren't considerate of space. I kept trying to move away from people and have a safe distance but I stiff had people trying to squish in right next to me and run into me on several occasions. I actually would have preferred to spend a bit more than $17 and be in a smaller group. We are not backpackers trying to save money so would have liked that option. That said, we still had a great time and the instructors were very helpful, positive and encouraging.

The title pretty much sums it up. I've been to surf schools around the world but you can't go past a great group of Aussue guys who want to show a good time to anyone who wants to learn to surf - kids or adults! They ensure everyone has the opportunity to stand up on the board on the first day; you just want to go back for more!

Our 9 yr old boy wanted to learn how to surf!! So here we are. From the moment we stepped into the shop, James was so good with our son. Encouraging, friendly and helpful. Grom and Dave that did the lesson were great and encouraging as well. Our son got up on the board and he is wrapped. So looks like we will be surfing widow parents now!!!Well guys and thank you especially to James our son loves you.

Me and a friend got vouchers for a free surflesson at reef2beach but we still felt ripped off. With 2 instructors for 28 students you can't really call it a surflesson it felt more like being stuck in a factory going in loops on treadmills which is quite the opposite to what surf is supposed to be about. Saying that they really care about their customers is not really true at all, if they did, they would have put a cap on the amount of people they take out each day. Also, with that many people you end up with really crappy boards some of witch has less grip than ice.

Great guys who gives fantastic instructions on surfing and that for only 17$. Is actually 2 cheap. These guys should ask more because it's worth way more than it cost!!!

We were a group of 22 people and 3 great teacher!It was my first time on a surfboard and I learned so much. Best 17$ I ever spend :)Thanks to reef 2 beach and groom the greatest guy on earth!

what an awesome way to spend 3 hrs! and all for $17. to be truthful it did take a bit to get going but we were in a quite large group. 36 I think. my kids aged 9 and 7 had a blast. the kids seemed to find it easier to get up than the adults. the instructors were a lot of fun and very informative in teaching the basics of surfing. they provided the board and rashie. the kids also got a certificate at the end which had some vouchers for local businesses. there was also a photographer that you could purchase photos. we loved it so much that when we went back to get the kids surfing certificates we bought a board.

Grom and his crew at the Reef 2 Beech Surf School are not your average instructors. These guys are all about making sure you're having fun, and learning the fundamentals to enable you to stand up on your board - step 1 to learning how to surf. Stay for longer and the boys may even impart some pearls of wisdom.We stood up on our boards for the first time, and even managed to turn a bit.

Such a great surf school! Only 17 dollars for 3 hours ( rashie and board included) I had never surfed before but managed to successfully stand on the board many times. The instructors were also extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic! Dad and 3 kids 8,6,4 learned to surf with mum helping out. Guides were knowledgable and helpful, allow 3 hours, 2 hours of surfing + instruction. They will get you standing by the end, thanks guys best $17 spent in ages!!

Me and my fiancé did the $17 beginner lesson and we didn't know what to expect...We had two hilarious Aussie surfer dudes teach us to surf and it was fantastic. We learned the basics and spent loads of time in the water practicing. We both stood many times and can't wait to surf again.You need to do this surf lesson if in Agnes Waters/1770

As other reviewers have said excellent value and fun. If you are in agnes water this is the best $17 you will spend. Totally recommend to anyone no previous experience required and a great intoduction to surfing. Well done to the guys who run this place for giving a good,fun,value experience

One of the best things I have done in Australia. $17 for a 3 hour lesson was so much fun and they go through enough basics for you to stand up. I did and I have never done it before coaches were good laugh and helpful and supportive. Definitely recommend

C'mon, $17, and the instructors cut it down really plain and simple through every step and give you little instructions and hints as you go to help you improve. Top dudes, quality fun.
