Just been to a wedding at Trentham Estate and the venue, views, food, wine and service were fantastic.

We have been to Trentham Estate many, many times. We always enjoy our experience of wine tasting, the view, the food, the ambience. I will however on this ocassion make a small complaint. Usually the food being offered is first class however (the lawn menu) the chips this time around were disgusting. Might be wrong but they resembled mass produced product that arrived at the Estate in a plastic bag which was then thrown into the fryer by someone. The bread, olive oil and dukkha was also disappointing with the bread being very ordinary in texture and taste. Not up to the usual standard of the kitchen at Trentham Estate. However the steak and salad option was lovely and we quietly enjoyed the magnificent view and ambience over a great bottle of Trentham Shiraz! Thanks to the staff at cellar door. As always outstanding.

We take visitors all the time for the bbq-where you buy your meat, fish, sausages, chicken at a good price and cook whilst overlooking the beautiful river scene. Salads, condiments, implements, bread, are provided and wines by the glass or bottle can be bought at the winery/cellar doors attached for reasonable prices. Restaurant food is tasty [as is the wine] and well cooked. It is only a short 20 min drive out of Mildura but worth it. Very relaxing and staff very capable. Sweets and deserts tasty too. Lots of running grassed land for children to run and play ball sports on. Our well behaved border collie loves it too. Much shade too and a wonderful spot when the Oct Jazz Festival is on.[We like to sit on the verandah with 8 friends].

We arrived at the winery around lunch time. We had previously inquired as to whether we could bring a little dog, and was told by the lovely lady over the phone she would be welcome on the lawn. What a perfect setting greeted us, chairs and tables under shady trees, and the laughter of people wining and dining. We approached the girls to order our cheese platter, they were friendly and obliging. Well done. A few minutes later I went up to ask the bar if I could get some tap water for our dog, and to my amazement he handed me bottled water and told me it was on the house for my dog. Now that is excellent PR. Thank you staff for your excellent service, great food and wine. See you again soon. Oh the Sauvignon Blanc super, so good we bought a case.

Great wine, great location on the river, great place to spend a hot day (have misters), but need to be organised to get into the restaurant.

We arrived on a Sunday lunchtime but hadn't booked. Silly us. But they could still do a Trentham Platter for us (salami, prosciutto, cheese, pate, olives, roast capsicum, eggplant, crispbread and home made bread) which we ate on the riverbank and washed down with their famous 2005 Heathcote Shiraz. Heaven. The location is superb. There is lots of outdoor seating and the view is superb. The staff are very knowledgeable. If you can't get into the restaurant, they also have a cook-your-own BBQ as well as the above mentioned platters. A great location and experience. We'll be back.

Perfect riverside setting to take overseas visitors who really enjoyed the option of dining outdoors with bbq packs or restaurant inside. Service and attention from staff could not be faulted, food excellent.
