We had the opportunity to enjoy the horses and stay there. There is a rustic house with I think 14 bunks as well as a couple of separate accommodations. It was beautiful there. I travelled all over australia looking for kangaroos and in the horse pastures was the place to see them. At night and during the early morning there were about 50-100 enjoying the grassy pasture. It was the highlight of my trip. Geoff was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend it.

I went there over the weekend for a lovely little getaway and the scenic walks through the rain forest was breathtaking.Geoff was professional and briefed us thoroughly to ensure we fully understood the boundaries. It was one the best experiences of horse riding i've had in NSW

My girlfriend and I wanted to treat ourselves with a nice and relaxing horse ride - very first one for both of us - something different to your usual wine-and-dine romantic getaway, you know... We both love horses, but had no experience riding before, so I've researched carefully, and Geoff's and Gail's website and mini-getaway package description stood out from the rest of Google links. So I inquired about the ride and accommodation, and Geoff called me pretty much straight away, telling me about his horses, how seriously they take this - not just as a cash-making business - how respectful they are of nature around them, etc. - which generally produced the impression that I'm definitely talking to the right man.Let me tell you, guys and girls, we weren't disappointed. It's not a 5 star accommodation, as far as your stay is concerned, but it's very acceptable for what it is, and oh boy is it authentic, properly Australian in the best sense of the word, experience of a relaxed farm stay that will stick in your memory for a long time. Main attraction there obviously are the horses, and the ride itself. I'd also add - the owners are part of the experience, as Geoff takes his time to give you a very interesting and informative lecture on how to treat animals, specifically his horses, what to do and what not to do, AND WHY - it was amazing, I'm serious here... If you knew me guys - I'm not too picky or whatever, but I have standards, and it takes something really outstanding to earn my respect - without even trying hard. That's what Geoff and Gail did.Considering a horse ride through lovely bush, a mountain ride through the forest, and don't really know where to go? Forget the commercial stuff of Hunter Valley - go see Geoff and Gail, and thank me later. Enjoy guys, you won't regret it.

I've been here a number of times in the last two years. It's difficult to put into words just how wonderful the experience is.The love and respect Geoff and Gail have for their horses is astonishing, and it's impossible to come away without having a much deeper and profound understanding of these beautiful creatures. I've loved horses since I was a kid, but the time I've spent here has changed my life.Thank you <3 <3 <3

My daughter in law and I took my Grandchildren for the mini horsemanship ride today, they have had very little or no riding experience this was perfect for them. Gail was brilliant with our girls teaching them about how to behave around horses, grooming, saddling and mounting, then of course riding. Our youngest was particularly nervous but by the end of the ride she was much more relaxed. Thank you Gail for sharing your great wealth of knowledge with us and your patience with our girls. Gail and Geoff you do a fantastic job your horses are an example of your knowledge and experience . We will be back and recommend you to all.Therese and Victoria, Jessica and Jennifer :)

I really enjoyed this. The horses are lovely, know what they are doing and you can just leave them to do there thing whilst you enjoy the beautiful bush. The trail is hilly with wonderful views from the top of the Morton NP and the dam and river. Geoff knows what he is talking about and has an excellent philosophy towards training horses. The setting is so peaceful and just so beautiful. After our ride my friend and I stopped at the Bendela picnic area and sat by the river for a while. A perfect Sunday morning.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Geoff and Gails place and also took part in the trail ride. It is clear that Geoff and Gail love their animals - both wild and domestic - judging by the number of kangaroos hanging out in the front paddock and the friendliness of their dogs and horses. Some great chats with our hosts about horses, the environment and escaping a charging elephant on horseback in Botswana also kept us entertained!Would highly recommend this weekend experience to anyone who wants to get back in touch with Mother Nature.

Thanks for Geoff and Gail,we loved the friendly rustic accommodation and the beautiful ride. The hosts are really understanding nature and living for their horses. They make the rides memorable and safe even for beginners. The mini lodge was ideal for a couple with beautiful view from the verandah over the mountains and the paddocks. If you have a chance to stay with them ask them about their recent African horse riding safari. Great hosts and great stories. We'll definitely be back .

My husband organised us to go for my birthday as I had never been horseback riding before and always wanted to give it a try. When we arrived the woman, Gail, that worked there gave us such attitude. It would have been appreciated to have been greeted with a hello and how may I help you rather than rudely asking 'Why are you here?' She didn't instruct us where to go when we came out of our car so we started to walk near where we thought the entrance area was only to be reprimanded and told to wait somewhere else. During the training session, too, I couldn't hear what we had to do with our phones so I asked her only to be yelled at with a ‘Do you text when you drive?’ I tried to explain that I wasn't asking to take my phone with me and that I simply didn't hear what we were supposed to do so wanted to check. Her husband Geoff and his other employee Katie were nice and they all really care for the horses. They are beautiful horses and the ride itself was enjoyable; however; Gail makes this entire experience quite a miserable one. I would have asked for a refund before we even went out, but my husband planned it all and I didn't want to make him feel bad. I have a genuine interest in animals and think places like this have such great potential, and would hope that they will take my advice into consideration – if you remove Gail from any dealings with guests then you will find that people will be able to have a very positive, enjoyable experience.

Geoff was a lovely host. I went with my partner and stayed 2 nights in a lodge which was nice except for a dusty rug on the floor.

We stayed with 14 people in the loft cabin and a separate double room. We had BBQ's, went on a trail ride and organised a kayak and local wine tasting in the area. Geoff and Gail were both great hosts, and the horses are extremely intelligent and you feel very safe rising them. We got special treatment at the winery that we organised through Geoff, and the kayaking was heaps of fun! Great weekend away, and so much value for money!

With little previous experience with horses, we booked in for a trail ride with Geoff. When booking we did say to Geoff that we were a bit nervous. Upon meeting Geoff he was very friendly, down to earth and made us feel very comfortable. Yes you do stand next to your horse for about 15 minutes prior to hopping on but it is not scary. Geoff or one of the girls are nearby to alleviate any fears. He gives a very thorough briefing beforehand and excellent service making sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves. Excellent that he also remembered everyone's name on the ride! It was a fantastic experience and you get up to 500m above sea level. The only thing I was expecting was to go onto a ridge /lookout but it is more through the forest with some passing views (albeit breathtaking ones). Very good value for money and yes allow about 4 hours all up. Thank you Geoff, Kayla, Megan, Iron Mike and Adam!

Fantastic trail ride through the rain forest, never did any mountain riding, great experience. Also great opportunity to see the area and "hike" some forest and mountain trails I wouldn't wanna climb myself! Great value for money. Very well trained horses and nice stables. Geoff tried to attend to individual needs and seemed very enthusiastic about what he's doing. He allowed a lot of time for introduction on riding and horsemanship, you can tell that the horses and the right approach to riding is very important to him.

Jeff does love and trains his horse well but your horse walks the whole way(not even a trot, you are to stand next to your horse for 20mins before hopping on (not good when you are very scared), once your walk is done you are then to hop off horse and walk your horse back to the stables and wait for everyones horse to have there saddles taken off. Gail and Jeff can be abit rude. I would not suggest to go if you are scared only for horse lovers. In the 2 hour ride you see the views and look outs for maybe 3mins if you are lucky.

Jeff loves his horses. You can tell from the get go as he trains you on how to treat the horses and how to ride them. The horse trail was refreshing and an enjoyable experience through the bush. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate to recommend this activity!
