1st time to Sydney and 1st time to riding, place is far away but have train can go directly but need be careful the time schedule Place is good, people very nice... thanks one lady drive me to the farm from train station...if by walk believe need take around 15-20mins.. but farm can pick-up you if request...For the riding... believe is one of the best experience in my life, they have around 43 horses in the farm, great view, great horse (Sunny)....thanks Emma and Tim, they are very nice and guide me how to make my 1st riding... definitely will back again!Jenny

The horses!! They're the best especially Nutmeg, Poppy, Candy, Simba, Taffy and Wilma. The instructors are really experienced. Thanks Otford for supporting my riding career!

I recently did a 3hr ride at Otford farm. It was a wonderful experience. Mia our guide was able to successfully comfort and encourage a little girl who was quite nervous whilst providing the little girl's father and myself opportunities to trot and canter. It is worth noting a good portion of the ride is through bushes and we spotted wombats, lizards and deers!!! We also stopped at bald hill for an icecream and the view was stunning. Most importantly, the people were great!! Mia was friendly and so easy to chat to. Tim the owner was also so good to chat to and shared abit of the property's history and horse riding with me. Will be back again. Su.

The rides are amazing and I have made so many friends though this that it is unbelievable!! I mean WOW!!

I had the pleasure of riding at Orford Farm for my birthday and being an experienced rider I can say it's one of the most beautiful rides I have been on. My horse was one of the best horse hire horses I have ever ridden and my guide Helena and I chatted most the way, apart from when all you could hear was the wildlife. There are a few places to trot and canter which was great but the walk through the trails was so relaxing and beautiful. Also it looks like they really look after their horses which is very important to me. Definitely going back!

Today we had a wonderful horse riding experience with our instructor Emily. The horses were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you very much. Highly recommend it.

Poorly signed- got very lost n ended up on a farm with the same name....... That's where the negativity ends n the awesomeness begins.Quaint office, Tim the owner being most polite n thorough. Helped my two daughters 9 n 8 pick their helmets n off we went with our guide Leanne. Three ride options, we picked the two hour waterfall ride. Imagine riding up n down hills, through beautiful creeks n gorgeous dense eucalypt trees. Highlight was my girls seeing a deer in the wild..... Doesn't sound much, but for two city-slick girls, it was better than ice cream. Leanne was lovely, talked to the kids along the trail, explained about horses n trees n flowers, taught the kids how to ride like experts, did some trotting, n last but not least, how to pull leeches off your horses ankles (eeowwwww!)A must do.Give yourself lots of time to get there, good boots/shoes n give yourself back 10years of your life.

I have never ride a horse in my life which makes my expectation on such activity is so high. Went there with 6 friends. The instructors are so friendly and helpful. They try their best to make sure that we enjoy the trail rides as much as possible without jeopardizing our safety. The trail is so challenging which makes the ride so fun. It was such an amazing day for me. Definitely will come back again one day. I would highly recommend this activity to all who want to get a taste on authentic Australian experience.

Was an amazing day, we will be back. I took my daughter for her 17th birthday she had a great time, the scenery and horses were beautiful. Can't wait to go back again.

I took two of my best friends to go on one of Otford Farm's rainforest trail rides. They have never been on a horse ride before and were both very nervous. When we arrived at the location we loved the look and instantly fell in love but don't judge a book by its cover. Unaware of the fact that boots weren't supplied, we were told to just go and ride in the thongs we came with and as for head gear, the instructor left us to go and find one! I am experienced rider who has endured the sport for 10 years and has worked and been to many stables around the world and this was one of the very few where I did not feel comfortable and safe. The only protective gear you have while on that horse is a helmet and if you do not have the right fit, it could mean serious consequences if one were to fall. And I couldn't believe first timers like my friends were left to and pick a helmet, ride in thongs and just on a horse with no assessment of their skills!!! For $55 it was not worth it, when their are many other stables in the Sydney area that offer similar rides with proper boots, fitted helmets and assessments of skills. The one positive thing I could say about this place was that the staff were very friendly and understanding when we asked for a refund and they apologized for the service that we encountered. I personally do not recommend this place if you are not an experienced rider and want value for the services. I ended up being very disappointed that my friends were not introduced to the beautiful nature of horse riding like I intended.

I usually don't enjoy riding school type rides because I used to have my own horses on a large property and its never the same. This place is different, everything the other reviews say. Great staff, nice horses, beautiful setting. My daughter had been doing horse riding lessons for school sport (that's why we went) and she absolutely loved it as well. They split our group into 2 so that those who were more experienced could go a bit faster. We had a ball, we all felt challenged. The other animals at the farm are great too. Definitely want to go back.

I have been going to Otford farm for almost 3 years now and i know all of the horses and instructors backed to front, and i know that every horse is like a friendly giant. i have never been on a trail ride or camp that i haven't arrived back without a smile on my face. every instructor is funny, caring and completely considerate for your safety and well being of your enjoyment of your ride. they listen and understand your abilities to find the perfect horse for you and go at speeds that you feel comfortable with. the kids camps wow! now thats something that your child must try, and at affordable prices its perfect for your child to improve regardless if they are beginner to advance. the food is AMAZING! and donna the cook is incredible. i would highly recommend Otford to families, couples and even just for someone looking for some enjoyment!oh and to the first comment from "tal b" your ride wasn't $100 and the instructors go at the speed that you are capable of and "trotting" was obviously what you could only do, a canter would have been done if they saw that you were capable of it. so leaving a nasty review like that was not necessary.

I took My mother to Otford Farm for a Trail Ride for her Bday Last week & it was AWESOME! <3there were 3 different Trails to choose from the Rainforest, Waterfall & Bald hill Adventure! We went on the Rainforest Trail which was 1 hour Long & it was Amazing We Experienced Horse Riding on Flat ground & On paths amongst the Natural Terrain of the Property & we got to Trot at the end of the trail on the Trail Ride one of the Highlights Was riding through the Natural Creeks on the farm & Seeing A deer close up we were even able to stop & get a pic on top of that we were Lucky enough see a wallaby hiding Amongst the Trees :) The Staff at the Farm were Exceptionally friendly & the Price is Outstanding Value to sum it up was the Best Experience of my Life :) We will be back 100%

We boght my 13 year old daughter & her friend a 2hour waterfall ride for Christmas. The girls loved it.The staff obviously love their work as the horses are well cared for and nothing seemed a problem.The surroundings are beautiful. I would highly recommend.
