A perfect place for relaxation. Hidden in the back streets of Mullumbimby. Casual and refreshing. A must on your next visit to Mullumbimby.

The first spa was broken, too cold and the jets were broken. The second spa was dirty and smelt like a public toilet. The silent spa was okay except for the man who tried to give my friend unwanted footsies. To top it off, when I got home I looked in the mirror and found I have a Koala's body. Not happy.

Loved that we could use the spas, sauna, steam room and plunge pool for however long we liked before and after our treatments. I go to quite a few spas and this was by far the best facial I have ever had. I'll definitely be back again, even to just use the bath house for a few hours.

I have visited Kiva Spa & Bathhouse a number of times now, and find it the perfect place to unwind from a busy lifestyle. Just a short drive from the Gold Coast, entering the property offers an instant feel of relaxation and affordable indulgence. Equipped with an authentic wood fired sweat lodge, alternative steam room, super cold plunge pool, relaxation spas and various treatment rooms for massage etc, it is a treat to spend time in the Balinese style surroundings. It is very affordable, only $20 to enter and use most of the facilities, massages and treatments are extra. Enjoy a cup of tea in the gardens after detoxing and don't forget to grab a brochure to plan your next indulgence, I can assure you will go back! It is advised to arrive on time if you have a massage booked. My daughter surprised me last week with a trip to the bathhouse for my birthday. We arrived 30mins late due to not considering the daylight saving time difference. We still had to pay for 2 full hour massages, when we were only able to have 30mins of it. In saying that, my 2 daughters are off for another visit today...

After being to a bathhouse in Tweed we thought we might give Kiva Spa a go. Love the outdoor concept. 3 large spa all in outdoor gardens with a large hexagon wood fired Sauna. Topless bathing is accepted for females. At first didn't see anyone bathe topless but after I removed my top I noticed many others had also removed their tops shortly after. Felt very comfortable as other people were very friendly and easy to enjoy good conversation with.We loved the Sauna... it's the most unique and best Sauna we've ever seen!We thoroughly recommend Kiva Spa to anyone who wants to take some time out and relax! Also love that European bathing style.

My wife and I visited as part of our honeymoon. We both came out feeling totally relaxed and recharged. From the moment we entered, it was like entering an oasis in a faraway land. Walking through the greenery from the reception really gave that impression. The staff were friendly and I could not fault it.Now, regarding the price, look for the value. I have seen other places that charge more and give much less.Kiva let you sit in the hot baths first before the massage. I found this made the massage more effective. No other place (that I know of) does that and it makes Kiva stand out!

This is a beautiful spa... or more of an outdoor bath house with 3 large Spas around the property, a large wood fired sauna, cold plunge pool and lounge area. Loved the freedom of topless bathing... I guess this can be expected in the hippie town of Mullumbimby... loved it!People were friendly, even the other guests were easy to chat with in the spa. The Sauna is a verrrry quiet place... but very relaxing and easy to zone out into another place. For relaxing the mind and body Kiva is perfect. Allowing topless bathing also makes it a carefree environment.Loved it.. I highly recommend it to everyone to enjoy!

Looking for a place close by to get away and unwind Kiva delivered. Simple, homely... 3 hot spas, a large wood fired sauna. Enjoyed the relaxed care free environment. I appreciate that topless bathing is accepted which contributed to a carefree relaxing experience. Love the outdoor showers, cold plunge pool and little spots you can sit and relax in between spas.Only thing that was a let down.... it feels like the reception staff have been there for a long time... friendliness and being welcoming wasn't the greatest attribute. But otherwise love the environment, facilities and respecting women's equality for the right to bathe topless.

I booked into Kiva Spa after doing some research on spas in the area - this one seemed like good value compared with similar places in Byron Bay. The spa has a tropical, and what I imagine is a Balinese, atmosphere - lots of lush greenery in the grounds and the sound of running water. It's quirkily decorated to match, and was very busy the day I visited - the 'waiting room' is simply a groovy space on the deck with complementary teas and cold water for your consumption. My therapist was very nice (and perceptive enough to sense I wasn't up for lots of chatting) and very skilled - I enjoyed the treatment very much. The therapist had very considerately warmed the room we were to be using and I felt well cared for during the treatment. One small niggle though - the woman manning the front desk was a bordering on rude. She seemed annoyed I had arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, even though this was what I was requested to do when I booked. As a first impression it didn't send a very good message. I bought a couple of products that were used in my treatment and when I asked if there was a bag the products could go in, she got one and plonked it down in front of me, leaving me to put my purchases in the bag. Considering that I had just spent the better part of $300 at the spa, the level of customer service was fairly poor. I tried not to take it personally, as I observed she treated everyone who came in to a similar level of barely concealed contempt.Overall, this spa is reasonably good value compared with similar ones further down the road in Bryon Bay, and it offers a tropical resort-style experience that most will love. If you are prepared to weather the treatment meted out to you at the the front desk, this spa is a good choice if you are passing through or staying in the area.

In somewhere as chilled as Mullumbimby a spa where the locals go is going to have to be bloody good! We were lucky to squeeze in at the last minute but bookings seem to be the way to go. This is a chilled out, no frills, calm and authentic place to relax, have a hot outdoor bath, a communal sauna + massage / facial. Book ahead, take your swimmers and towels and clear your afternoon! We will be back for sure.

$100 for a luxurious one hour facial using Eminence products (cruelty free - what a bonus) at the capable hands of my therapist that day, Rhiannon, which followed an hour of soaking in the spas and relaxing on the decking. I'm claustrophobic so can't do saunas unfortunately. Went there with my mum and girlfriend. They each had one hour massages ($90 including one hour use of facilities). We floated out of there, relaxed and gooey. Slept like a log last night ! I loved the staff don't try and hard sell you anything. Facilities recently renovated (toilets etc). Didn't use the silent spa this time but will use it when I go there solo.

Yesterday i visited kiva spa after going to the meditation at crystal castle. What an amazing combo! I paid $20 for an hour in the bath house at sunset, it wasnt too busy maybe a dozen people there. I was totally amazed at the place. It is all open plan, the spas are under huts and there are open sky warm showers and everythings kind of beneath palm trees and vines. It makes it feel special and magic. The wood fire sauna is like nothing ive ever experienced. Make sure to read on their website the spa etiquette so you are prepared with two towels and a water bottle. They have complimentary tea and filtered water too. This is a must do!!

I had the most wonderful deep tissue massage on Mothers Day. Amos, was professional, skilled and I was relaxed within minutes after the massage started. I felt invigorated after and great the next day having all of my muscles worked on.I could have easily had 2 hours not just 1hr. He managed to fit in the whole body massage within the hour.I have had many massages over the years and this was one of the best.Highly recommend him.

Kiva spa is my favorite place to relax and unwind with friends or alone. Spa sauna plunge pool and then again... The massage package is great value and quality.
