From days when the town was bustling this is an interesting gallery. Most of the interior is now home of the owners, but they've left a bit at the front as a bookshop and gallery. Most of the books are about movies, art, sculpture etc, and there are paintings and sculpture for sale. These have been done by the owners, Max Cullen, Australian actor, and his wife Margarita. Worth a look.

The Picture House Gallery is situated in what used to be the Coronation Theatre (1937) right in the middle of Gunning. Gunning itself used to be a lively metropolis and centre for the surrounding villages, but quieter times have now arrived, with the bypassing of the town by the Hume Highway. There is a collection of art, sculpture and books on display (and for sale). The building has had many uses over the years, and it is interesting to see how the current owners have built a home inside the "steel shed" that is the basic structure. If you are lucky, you will get to talk to famous Aussie actor Max Cullen who owns the premises, and who has work on display.
