Visited Leura for my birthday. Caught the train from Parramatta which took about an hour and a half. Arrived there and walked down the mall which is filled with lots of craft shops and unusual shops not normally seen in your local area. We were wanting to get a local bus to the cascades and everglades, so after asking several local people about getting there, we were back to square one. The only thing that anyone knew was the hop on hop off bus which cost 60$ each for a day pass. We were only here for a short time and only wanted to catch a bus that would take 10 minutes at the most. People didn't seem to even know streets and most of the shops didn't have street numbers. We did however have a nice lunch at Bon Ton café and wine bar, the staff there were very friendly and helpful. My comments would be, firstly the tourist information office was out on the highway not in the mall where you would normally find it, and to have some public transport to get around. Not all people drive cars there. Katoomba and suburbs is a very popular place for tourists, but if you are not on a bus tour or in a car it becomes hard, particularly if you are senior citizens. It is a beautiful place.

I can't think of many places in the world like Leura village, a wide tree lined street of independently owned shops, in most shops you are served by the owners and you can find things you just don't see anywhere else. Such a welcome respite from the soulless shopping malls which blight the city suburbs. I did all my Xmas shopping in Leura, and especially love the unusual choice for anyone who cooks in Leura Whisk and the handmade crafts in With Max and Me. Why go any where else, worth the drive!

Leura is a treelined mall with a number of different shopping and eating experience. It is extremely busy at weekends , even during hte week parking was ta a premium. Its a must visit if in the area

Looking for that special something for someone special. Try some of the specialty boutiques in Leura Mall.Lovely clothing shops, quilting shops, gift shops; you name it, they have it.

Leura Mall is a strip shopping mall with dozens of interesting shops and cafes. From gifts to kitchenware's to unusual furniture and antiques and bric-a-brac there seems to be something for everyone.Everytime I have visited here it is chock a block with overseas tourists on a day trip from Sydney and all looking very wide eyed at stuff that they could never manage to take home.The street has a great atmosphere - can highly recommend a visit. The bakery just down the road from the mall bakes meat pies that one can only dream about.

It is lovely to stroll though a mall that has unique shops and not all the chain stores one sees everywhere else. Local products and gournet delights as well as very nice boutiques and interesting speciality shops like the Japanese shop, the candle shop Ikou and the vintage shops.

Leura - what a quaint mountain hideaway with so much charm and quirky moments. Enjoyed the Leura Garden Festival and for lovers of nature, great views and stunning gardens - needs to be a must on the To Do List. So well organised with shuttle bus around the gardens, such a pleasant way to get to know the little village of Leura and surrounds. What incredible work by the community and the gardeners - just loved it "blooming good".

I loved this little shop, upstairs with loads of gorgeous things. I found jewellery, relishes, warm hats, really lovely handmade stuff. Not your average mall. Great spot.

A nice small town that is full of character and charm. Worth spending the time (if you have it) to walk around and see the stores. Lots of art, crafts and things to see. A couple of the stores are very over priced, but overall, a very nice place to check out!

The Mall in Leura is filled with a great variety of shops, from food, clothing, home wares and a fantastic wine merchant, who has an amazing knowledge of wine.

I visited with my family during a stay in the Blue Mountains. Having visited before some years ago I was pleased to find that the favourites where still there, as well as some new gems to explore. We found a wonderful Deli, some local craft shops and tasty cafés. We especially loved the fabric shop that is tucked away in the car park!We did notice that there were a few more 'mainstream shops' on the mall too which although are lovely shops I do hope that they don't begin to detract the charm from the mall.

A really pleasant town to spend a morning or afternoon. There are lots of lovely cafes, elegant shops and if you venture a little past the main shopping area, beautiful houses and gardens you can stroll past. A real highlight of the mountains.

Try "Lilypond Café" or "Wisteria" and plenty more cafes and restaurants to enjoy after a beautiful bushwalk around Leura Cascades or Gordon Falls. Lockley's Pylon has a magnificent view at the end. Takes about 3 hours return.

Leura has a great combination of retail and natural landmark sights to visit. I love the countrified feel of the village, especially during autumn with stunning coloured leaves and a crispness in the air.It is well worth the visit

I got the pleasure of visiting Leura during my tour to the Blue Mountains National Park and enjoyed this town. My tour guide; Steve, said that Leura is "the 90210 of the Blue Mountains" and it's where Sydney residents head too when they want to escape the city. The choices of restaurants are excellent and there is something for everyone from take aways, Chinese, Indian, and Vegetarian food. After lunch we visited The Candy Store and enjoyed the wide variety of candies they had in stock. I can see why this town is popular with Sydney locals for its charm and location.
