I loved it here, as you can see the Devils up close and eating, which is great! Really enjoyed the bird show and feeding forest kangaroos, which I was able to pet. They are smaller than the mainland kangaroos and less aggressive.Can highly recommend!

Can not give a review, found out they were charging $33 per person, so we turned around and left. We are pensioners that have saved for a few years for this trip, this entrance fee was beyond us.

Situated on the Port Arthur highway not far from Port Arthur is the Unzoo. We visited Unzoo for three hours in the morning and really enjoyed it. Sarah the guide was excellent, bubbly, articulate and knowledgeable about the Tasmanian devils. We saw two feedings and if was great to see. Educational in that I never knew the devils live only six years and the Tasman peninsula is only one of two places the face cancer have not reached. Enjoyed the kangaroo and wallaby hand feeding. Bird show was entertaining. Not to crowded. On cost we used a 25% discount voucher for second adult and it cost us A$58, money well spent as some goes back to the conservation of the Tasmanian Devils. Ticket also valid for two days. Now renamed Unzoo.Staff is well informed and seem genuinely happy to be there.They ate currently recovering from flood damage but made great provisions to ensure the animals were in safe and environmentally enriched enclosures.It is obvious they have been undergoing extensive enclosure renovations to significantly improve the quality of life of those animals in their care. I love this!Definitely recommend and I would like to revisit when all their renovations are complete.

It is good to see that the devils are being cared for in this conservation park. There are other animals like wombat and quolls to see as well.

We stopped by here on our way to Port Arthur. The park is focused on the conservation of the devils and we experienced a feeding demonstration which was just incredible. A beautiful place to spend some time with nature knowing that the animals are well cared for in their natural habitat rather than a traditional zoo setting. The staff were all lovely and clearly enjoyed their work they do. Well worth seeing as it provides a great insight into these gorgeous little animals.

We had one day at Hobart . We took a car and intended to visit Bonorong Sanctuary and Eaglehawk Neck vicinity. The guy at hobart tourist information suggested to us to visit the Unzoo place instead of Bonorong as Bonorong will be very crowded with the cruise ship peoples. We glad we did. We came very close to the Tasmanian Devils. Had very good explanation about its life style and habits. Saw a demonstration of some prey birds and enjoy the rest of the place.

Great place to see the Tasmanian Devils in their enclosure and up close. There are eastern quolls and you can also feed the Kangaroos. A bit pricey but good to know that the money is going back to good cause as they are doing well to keep the existence of the tassie Devils.

It was a very well kept place with wonderful opportunities to interact with local native wildlife. The ticket price of 35 dollars entitles you to two days of vists. Unfortunately we didn't get back for the second day. It would have been great if we had been able to.

While I support and appreciate the efforts the team is putting in to protect the wildlife, I found it below expectations and worth the price. Maybe it is better to do this as a family with children and not as a couple. But even then I feel there was hardly anything to keep us engaged for more than 20-30 mins.

Wanted to visit (and support) this eco initiative, BUT at $33 AUD per adult entrance charge PLUS a $2 credit card charge, this was just way too much. We left. Sorry folks, we ain't mean, but the budget only stretches so far... Port Arthur Historic Site got the same treatment from us. Shame.

This is a must if you're visiting port Arthur. Directly on the road it's more than worth a stop to see these amazing creatures. Unfortunately due to DFTD there aren't many sustainable wild populations so this is the best way to view Devils unaffected by this horrible cancerous disease.Great information from the guides who were all very happy and courteous. Well worth it

We visited here mid January. The concept of an 'unzoo' is a great idea. They are really promoting conservation, no wire enclosures and overall education. There are 'shows' on about every half hour e.g. Feeding the Tasmanian Devil, Quolls etc. the staff that run these are passionate and informative. Yes, it is not over run with animals but that is the whole point, trying to promote and care for animals in an environment as natural as possible. Lovely grounds, well cared for including a trail that takes you down to the foreshore through a kangaroo/wallaby 'enclosure'. It is very family friendly. Yes, it is a bit expensive but it is for a purpose - the preservation of the Tasmanian Devil and this is only one of two places where they remain disease free. They are doing an amazing job. You will see Tasmanian Devils up surprisingly close, Eastern Quolls, kangaroos, wallabies, echidna, Cape Barron Geese, possums, Tawny Frog Mouth, various parrots etc. we would recommend it for couples/singles and families.

Wasn't aware of the Centre before coming to Tasmania from England and just happened to pass it en route to Port Arthur.......would have liked to have spent longer but still good value give its role in working to ensure survival of the Red Devil. Was good to be there for feeding time. Keep up the good work!

Magical experience... truly a "can't miss" for any Tasmanian holiday. Highlights were the Devils (Polly, Lucy, Neville, Chomper, Moses, and Mindy), Quoll feeding, holding Fran the Tawny Frogmouth, and petting the Roos. I can't believe anyone complains about the cost! Very reasonable $33 and it's for a great cause, people!!!
