Situated in an absolutely stunning part of Tasmania, St Imre Vineyard is well worth a visit. The drive from Hobart is scenic and not terribly long. The vineyard and winery are picturesque with plenty of evidence of the wonderful woodworking craftsmanship of Paul. The wines are very good and I came away with two bottles - one of the Pinot Noir and one of Tiger's Blood!Thank you Kat for making my visit worthwhile. All the best for a great future for you both.

We liked the fact that we serves by the owner Paul. Interesting chat about his Hungarian wine and saw his happy "organic" pigs in the paddock nearby and heard about their"fate"

Flavoursome interesting wines made with mature grapes (unlike those cheap wines made with grapes picked too green). Also an interesting Grappa for the cold days. Some very interesting art works too, particularly the wood work items, some very nice kitchen/butchers blocks.

My girlfriend an me rent a car in Launceston and drove down on the east coast to Hobart. Kati picked us up at the airport an took us to Dover, to her place. The vineyard was amazing, with a nice house and couple of wooden shacks, in one of them with a boat being built. We went along the beach, I thought the time had stopped, it was so quiet and restful. Then we hitchhiked to Hobart (80 km), obviously we started it on the wrong side :)With any car on the road towards Dover we got home late night, Kati picked us up again 10 km from Dover. Kati, Pali and their son Janoska is a really nice family, they are perfect host, highly recommended! They have homemade wines, my favorite was PossumPiss :)

My wife organised a birthday dinner for me at St Imre's vineyard, and it was an absolute delight. Kat was an excellent host, very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions were very large, more than enough for our family of 5. The wonderful wooden artwork just added to the ambience and the fireplace kept us nice and toasty warm on a cold night. If you want to customise your visit with a special dish, call ahead. Kat looked after us and made the night really memorable.

We were the only guests and were treated as though we were family. The goulash was the type of authentic home cooking we crave and everything served was home prepared and lovely. The options in Dover are not exactly abundant but we would pick this even in a more populous place. Price was also very reasonable. No, we wouldn't hesitate to go again: goulash in front of a pot belly stove is a fine thing!
