Every time We visit TasmanIa, we stop off and purchase something from this gallery. Just wandering through the shop is an amazing experience, and video footage of the owner actually making the items is truly fascinating. All is handmade there by the owner and prices are remarkably reasonable. An amazing craft to see still being practised in this day and age. Items of all types, styles and sizes, easy to find something for everyone! If you only visit one shop in Northern Tassie, this is it!

Carrick is 15 minutes from Launceston and well-worth a visit for Tom Marik's beautiful metal work. I particularly like his sea creatures and this time purchased a leafy seadragon, a crab and a seahorse - all in metal and exquisitely coloured. But don't be mislead, there are also gothic items, beautiful birds (kookas, little wrens). So don't pass by, detour off the highway and you will be in for a treat. The metal works are sometimes available at Salamanca Market but not every weekend.

This was such a great place, only found it by chance. Amazing beautiful handmade items. There is something for everyone. And they will send anything as well, so you don't miss out if item you like is to big to take home. Must see....

This is well worth a visit if you are passing by Carrick. There is so many different styles of metal art pieces, there will be something that you can't say no to. Even if you do not buy anything, looking at the many beautiful pieces is reward enough.

I bought a copper powder coated platypus & kookaburra in Oatlands that I fell in love with. Don't bother, just go direct to the Manufacturer. After we did the Tamar Lunch Cruise, we jumped in the car and 15 minutes out of Launceston walked into this amazing Gallery. I could have bought just about everything. Absolutely gorgeous wall hangings!!! Allow approx $26 per small piece up to the sky for anything. They have the most beautiful crafts and the best range. Just a visit to enjoy requests a gold coin donation as they do need to rebuild their business after a devastating fire. Loveley people to deal with.

The museum was housed in an old 2 story building which was burnt out in about 1978 and the artist lost over $80k of valuable pieces. Since then it has been moved next door and the tradition carried on and this collection is well worth the visit. It covers pieces ranging from wall hangings, carvings, photos, jewelry and much more. It was not the usual pieces that one would see in a gallery and the colours were exquisite.
