    Approximately 100 people visited Nant for the Jazz by the Mill event. An opportunity to sample Nant whisky, taste local produce and hear great music through Nant's partnership with the Austrlaian World Orchestra. Fortunately transport was provided from Hobart to Bothwell so no one had to miss out as the "designated driver". The Nant estate is a tourist destination in itself.

    We drove over 100 km to visit Nant on a long weekend only to find an A4 note pinned to a wine barrel at the gate saying they were closed. We had checked the opening hours on their website. We drove back to the nearest town several km away and checked at the visitor information centre. The fellow there was none too impressed at not being told they were closed as he had been sending people there all day. Poor effort Nant. No consideration for your customers and little respect for the local people who support you.

Our chef is passionate about the food he serves and works very hard to create unique dishes using only the best Tasmanian produce. I’d love to know when you visited our distillery as we've recently undergone some changes regarding our menu, one of which was to remove the duck dish. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the beautiful setting of the Distillery and we appreciate you compliments of our staff. We are very proud of them and their professionalism and I believe they are a wonderful asset to our company.Thank you again for your feedback on your experience at our Distillery.     Hi Kathy,Thanks for taking the time to review our Distillery. We are so glad you had such a great time.It is certainly a beautiful setting, although we can’t really take credit for that, and such a wonderful story behind the millhouse. Our staff are very passionate about Nant and it’s great that they get the opportunity to share what they know with our guests. Perth may be a bit far to just pop by but if you visit next, I’d definitely recommend visiting the restaurant. Our chef is in the final stages of creating an exciting new menu with some very interesting dishes!Hopefully we’ll see you back again!

We do pride ourselves on our unique menu which is made with only the best Tasmanian produce and we’re glad you appreciated the way we've chosen to use the space. The Estate grounds are very beautiful and certainly a great place to explore, especially with children.The great thing about whisky is you don’t have to be an expert to appreciate it but tastings are definitely a great way to learn more about it.We do have a Tour and Two-Course package available which is certainly the best way to enjoy the entire Nant experience. Perhaps next time you visit, you can give this option a go.Hope to see you again soon!

We really love having the opportunity to share our knowledge and history with our guests.Our coffee is certainly great but our whisky and food are what we really pride ourselves on. All of our menu items are made on site and we only buy and use Tasmanian produce.Next time you’re down in Tasmania again, definitely stop by for lunch or if you enjoyed our whisky, keep an eye open for our new Sydney bar which will be opening later this year.Hope to see you again!

We do take any feedback we receive very seriously and it is most unfortunate that you've been left with such a poor impression of our company.We’re disappointed to hear that you had such a negative experience there. We will be having our Health and Safety Officer review our current disability access points so as to make great improvements on what we currently have. Thank you for bringing this to our attention as we feel the Nant experience is something to be enjoyed by everyone and we’d hate for anyone to miss the opportunity to discover more about our distillery.We apologise that our food was not up to your standards. We pride ourselves on our menu which we believe to be of a very high standard and we aim to use only the best produce. This is not a issue we have experienced previously and therefore it is something that we will be sure to look into further.In regards to the lack of shade, based on your comments we have purchased umbrellas to use at the restaurant and next time you visit, we’re sure you’ll be able to enjoy these.Again, thank you for providing us with your feedback as we value our customers very highly.     Thank you for taking the time to review Nant Disitllery.The setting really is stunning and we work hard to maintain the grounds and surrounding areas but we can't take any credit for the beauty of the Tasmanian central highlands, it is truly magical. At Nant we have worked hard to create a menu which we hope is as beautiful as the central highlands on a sunny afternoon, so reading your comments reinforces our choices and confirms we are on the right track. We don't receive a lot of negative feedback and we do take it very seriously. I have investigated the situation and I feel that the whole situation was a misunderstanding, on our part, and for this we apologise.Its sad to hear that your experience this time has over ridden the previous experiences you've had in the past, and you've made the decision not to return. We do value our customers very highly.

Yes, unfortunately the tour is not very pram friendly, which is a shame but as you pointed out, it is the original building from the 1800's.We pride ourselves on our staff and also on our produce, not only the whisky but the food we make as well. All the food is made on site, with the meats smoked there also and we only buy and use local Tasmanian produce.I'm so glad you enjoyed the lunch, the tour and would recommend it to others. It was such a pleasure to serve you.See you next time!
