It was windy and the view was absolutely amazing no one else was there really felt like the edge of the world. Definitely a destination you should see with your family and loved ones. If your amateurs loves you will love it here just beautiful.

It was a windy, blustery day when I drove to Arthur River from Burnie, and showers threatened for most of the trip. But just as I parked my car, the sun shone and The Edge of the World felt magical. The observation deck enables a good view, of the mouth of the Arthur river and signs of human habitation, but as soon as you turn to face the ocean, it's easy to forget that there are any other humans near by. It's a beautiful vista: unpolluted ocean, clear, clean, cold air and restless waves - reminder of the vast distance between the west coast of Tasmania and the east coast of Argentina. Tree debris (from Arthur River) is a reminder of the ruggedness of this part of Tasmania. For me, the two hour drive from Burnie was well worth it.

We have been coming to this part of Tasmania for years and always come to Edge of the World and for a walk along the beach at the mouth of the Arthur River. Spectacular views and amazing waves rushing in from the other side of the world. A must see if you are in the area.

We visited The Edge of the World whilst staying near Stanley, this was our second visit here. It’s so wild and woolly reminds me of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. When the sea is pounding the coastline and shore: where the surrounding rocks are lined with tree debris from the Arthur River. It really is a no man’s land, showing off the ruggedness of the Tassie coastline. Well worth the trip to see, there is now an observation deck and toilets and picnic area. We were there on a beautiful day and the sea was very calm, but still beautiful. On a cold/wintry day you will need a jacket or get blown away.

Well worth the long drive to view the sunset from here. The strong winds are just part of the experience, with the waves hitting the shore and views of the mouth of the Arthur River just incredible. A true representative of Tasmania being the natural state of Australia.

This place is nature at its most wild and untamed best. Spectacular scenery where the Arthur River meets the sea. The waves were pounding and the wind was blowing while we were there. It is so great to be able to visit places which have not been developed and remain in their natural state. The Edge of the World should be included on any trip to Tassie, well worth the drive from Stanley to visit.

We have visited here many times and each time you experience something different. The Arthur River in itself is a picturesque river but when it meets the sea it is amazing. The sound of the water is loud and the strength of the wind is strong. Put it all together and you are looking and experiencing something that just wont be found in too many parts of our world. Don't finish your journey here, keep going down to Couta Rocks and Temma Harbour if your vehicle will allow. If not go back to Marrawah and walk along the beach, breath in the fresh air and enjoy the views the far north west/west coasts of Tasmania can bring!

As part of a trip to the Tarkine region of Tassie, stopping off at the Edge of the World is a breath of fresh air--or should I say a blast of fresh air. The coastline in this part of Tasmania's north-west is stunning, with huge seas, windswept beaches and what would seem to be fairly untouched coastline, barring the odd fishing village. Cold and maybe wet, but well worth a stop-off.

We drove to the Edge of the World near Arthur River when we stayed at Stanley. All I can say its it is amazing, don't miss it, it really does feel like the edge of the world. the drive is enjoyable and shows some of the remoteness of Tassie. The seas can be truly enormous here.

Arthur River se trouve à 1h30 de Stanley (85 km).Début de la "Western Explorer Road" (prochaine ville au sud Corinna 110 km penser à vérifier si la route est ouverte).
