This was interesting to visit - amazing that the caves are under the town. The guide was knowledgeable and shared lots of historical information. You go down into the caves and under the ground - it is quite dark but easy to navigate once the dim lighting is switched on.

Worth having a look at his phenomenon, but it is a little disappointing compared to the Princess Margaret May caves.Lots of work by locals over the years have removed tons of rubbish from these caves to open them up for public viewing & cave divers.

The entire Mount Gambier region is riddled with caves and these ones are right in the heart of the city. It's an interesting experience to descend into the caves and realise that you're actually underneath a fairly major highway! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative and the tour was worth the entry fee.

Go and have a look. Beautiful gardens too. Pity some idiots spoil it a bit by throwing basketball and shopping trolleys down there.

Yeah this is a wet limestone cave and worth a look. Other limestone caves in the area eg Tantanoola & Margaret Rose & Naracoorte are pretty much dry. This one is used by divers who are mad and like to extreme dive through the narrow & dark under water ways.. Not for me , I'll stay on terra firma but a really nice place to visit

Good value for money and very interesting. . $12.50 (adult) for an hour tour.. Bit slow in the cafe at first but got better. Lots of stairs so not good for push chairs or people who can't walk to far .Head a good time and would recommendThanks

Definitely worth doing.Cafe staff were so lovely and tour guide Jesh was so knowledgeable and helpful. Tour takes about 45 mins, depending on how many questions you ask. It can be done in half an hour.Interesting to find out about the divers who return each year to dive in the cave waters.Normal adult price is $12.50.Can take some great photos and burn calories with all the steps.A must see!

We did not like it. There was very little to see. I think we paid $2 per person but regret the time and money.

This experience that was very underwhelming. We saw the remains of what was an old dump where garbage was thrown into a cave. Don't recommend.

A great cafe resides above this sinkhole, however if you are there to see the cave system and not for going diving, I would recommend the Princess Margaret Rose Caves on the border of SA and Vic.

Not the biggest or prettiest caves and its not as big or have much decorations in it. I think its good if your going to cave diving better looking under the water than off the water. The cave was a dumpster for over 200 years and they took tons of garbage out and they reckon there is still 2 tons of garbages left

manager i think name is Jan was nasty and draconian towards the girls working there. very rude and rigid customer interaction. cave was average and very overpriced considering it was a tip until not that long ago. give it a miss and head to naracoorte caves.

Brilliant, met some cave divers just coming up who were very enthusiastic. The tour was great and the caves super, what a place and so much of it under the town. Highly recommedned

We stopped by the Englebrecht cave for a tour (cost $12.50 per adult), it was a light hearted informative tour, however I personally don't think the tour needed to go for as long as it did or cost as much as it did. It might be nicer if people could come and go as they please at a $5 per head charge or something, depends on how enthusiastic you are about caves though! Was nice to see and support local business though

A cave tour - reasonably priced - was amazing and well worth the visit. There are so many things to see in this town.Visit the blue lake and wildlife park both free entry.
