This place dosen't look much but once inside it is very extensive and interesting. Their are quite a few interactive displays which are well set up. There is also an outside area with restoration displays of the old house boats and paddle steamers. The curator was a lovely person and she was really into the history of Mannum. A great place to take the family and full of historical interest.

Such a fascinating bit of history, this place is a must. Lots to see, read and take in. Entertaining, knowledgeable and welcoming local volunteers added to the experience. We were surprised at how much there was in the complex and spent much longer there than we anticipated

The Mannum Dock Museum is a great place to learn more about the history of the River Murray and in particular the paddlesteamer The Marion. There are interactive displays and even an opportunity to steer a paddlesteamer on the river. There is a Blacksmith's shop and every Wednesday there is a blacksmith working the forge and on the day we were there Charmaine was the artisan blacksmith who explained the workings of the forge and showed us how she makes her various works of art. It was very interesting and well worth spending time there.
