Great guide with lots of knowledge about the local animal and stories. We had great time, saw lots of birds and came back home with amazing bird photographs!

The 3 hr tour round the Murray and Loch Luna Game Reserve on a slow punt was one of the best and most engrossing tours I have ever experienced, and great value. Carl, the tour guide was very informative about the river and it's history. He has a tremendous and insightful knowledge of the bird and animal life on the Murray and tributaries - which he delivers in a most entertaining fashion. This is the sort of tour that only people on canoes normally get to do.

We, two couples, recently spent 3+ hours aboard the Loch Luna cruising the Murray, creeks and Loch Luna Game Reserve with Carl. This was not the first time we had been on the Loch Luna but we couldn't resist another trip. As with the previous four times it was a joy slowly moving along with such wonderful scenery, birdlife and such to enjoy. Our morning tea break was in a wonderful spot and we enjoyed a choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or cold drinks. Accompanying this was Carl's freshly made Choc Chip cookies - they are delicious. Although the morning was very windy with a fairly high chill factor, those that needed it were given a blanket to help keep warm. Carl's knowledge of the river and environs is immense and he has some wonderful stories to tell. We all lost track of time but it didn't matter. We love this experience and find that different times of year the water ways produce different views which is wonderful. I would highly recommend a trip on the Loch Luna!!

Only 250 km from Adelaide Carl Doubikin runs Loch Luna Cruises. For $30 per person you get a very tranquil informative 3 hour trip along a section of the Murray River on a flat bottomed punt, which seats about 8 people. Leaving and returning to the riverbank at Kingston on Murray you will see numerous species of bird life and Carl can tell you about each species. He'll also tell you about the history of the river and the current issues the river faces. And he has a great knowledge of the flora of the river. This is a very enjoyable and value for money trip.
