Had a tasting at the cellar door and winery tour with Cameron and it was just fantastic. It is busy time here with harvesting and a lot happening in the winery but still took the time to explain everything in the process for us.The staff are all so friendly (as they always have been in our dealings with them in the past) and we love their wines. The location is very close to Nurioopta town centre and easy to access.

Elderton Wines were always fantastic especially the Merlot, however they are truly are amazing and care about their customers. They consented for me to scatter my belated fathers ashes on their vineyard. They made a difficult/emotional day comforting with a personal touch. Thank you form the bottom of my heart. A great place to visit.

Spend a relaxing afternoon in the cellar door or garden courtyard sampling some of the valleys delicious wines. Or if you prefer a "time-out"; enjoy a quiet coffee. The courtyard is pet friendly and they even offer puppyaccinos. Staff are very friendly and more than willing to offer any advice. Well worth a stop in.

Went in for a tasting and was served by an amazing woman with so much knowledge (can't remember the name). She made my partner and I feel comfortable which opened us up to asking questions. She taught us more about noticing great quality wine and the wine was lovely. Walked out with a bottle of the Cab Sav, yum.

We did the Elderton Masterclass with Allister Ashmead and it was a fantastic experience and well worth it. Allister was an excellent host and the whole range of wines were first class. Check out the Command Shiraz! .

This visit was bittersweet in that I was visiting a winery that I had last visited 29 years ago with fond memories. However I was saddened to hear of the passing of the patriarch of the vineyard Neil Ashmore who I had met as his first customer in the new tasting rooms 29 years previously.Service was great and the wines excellent.

I walked to the Cellar Door from where I was staying at the Elderton Lodge about 300 meters down the road and found Co-managing Directors, Cameron and Allister Ashmead sitting on the front porch finishing their coffee's of which they immediately offered to get one for me. The Cellar Door manager Tush Steinert was on it, and a great coffee shop quality Cappuccino was soon served up. While enjoying the delicious Cappuccino we chatted and got to know each other a little bit.Allister talked and tasted with me through a range of Elderton wines starting with delightful Riesling from their Eden Valley vineyard.Went through some nice whites and some amazing reds. Great wines and great people. A not to be missed stop in the Barossa.

The dessert wine on offer here is well worth a try. It is the perfect stop over on a Barossa bike ride, as there is a patio to sit on and some great snacks and food on offer. The staff are very friendly and were happy to explain both the history and method of their wines.

Visited during the week when it was very quiet which was great as this is a small cellar door. Lots of nice wine to try and a very knowledgeable staff. The team were also great at helping out a couple of cyclists stuck in a storm. Coffee and cake also available.

Loved this place. The Canadian girl who worked there was awesome. She made us feel welcome and we had a great chat with her. She took great interest in my dad's experience in Germany and the local wine growing area near where he lives there. Well worth a visit.
