For all tourists visiting Montreal, taking a stroll down this road is a must. If you don't mind walking, you can start at the Notre Dame Basilica and make it all the way down here. Stop by cafes to have a cappuccino or even try one of the frozen maple sticks (which i am glad i didn't buy one like my brother did because basically it is a maple lollipop and extremely sweet). Instead they gave me a sample which was good enough to experience this. Haha. I just love exploring these types of streets and window shopping and getting lost in the old european city feel. You have to stop by here or you cannot say you visited Montreal!

I never know where to go on Saint-Paul with all the amazing restaurants and really cute shops. If you're in Montreal for a visit, this street is a must!

For any tourist to Montreal, walking on St-Paul and the old Montreal is a MUST! It is the place to go to walk and discover the city. It is the best money you'll spent in Montreal (especially considering it's free). You can stop by the art galleries, look at the buildings and just enjoy the crowd and the atmosphere. If you're hungry and thirsty, stop by Olive and Gourmando for a drink for the complete experience. Also make sure to go walk by the water or use the big group bikes on the pier.

Quaint streets, cute shopping, artistic outlets, music as you walk around, foodies will also be happy. Love the place

To take a stroll on St-Paul is a walk throughout historic buildings, cobble stone streets and bustling cafés. When walking St-Paul be sure to look up and all around, there is a lot of history in the architecture. Art Galleries, fine eateries and cozy terraces. A must stroll when in "Le vieux" The Old (Montréal)

Again. Used to be real. Montreal's Soho. Full of real artists, studios and great jazz club. Now just overpriced bars, condos for the so-called "French Canadian elite" BORING.

Spend a day, see the sights, taste, smell, be entertained, right next to ther Old Port, a couple beautiful churches and museums. A little for everyone

This area of Montreal is absolutely stunning, its great to walk around visiting the boutique shops and eat at the multiple restaurants. The buildings, cobblestones and the atmosphere make it the best place to visit. We are English speaking and drove a car to Montreal finding car spaces was hard and reading the parking signs was impossible! nothing was translated! So ask a local to help, they were all extremely friendly and willing to help.

Clean and neat street with nice old houses well-maintained and good restaurants ranging from fast-food to fancy steak houses and creperies. It is an area to visit or walk through your first time visit and second and third :)

Rue Saint-Paul is in the heart of Vieux-Montréal. The street was named after Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve who was the founder of Montréal, it is a charismatic place full of restaurants and Art Galleries. Even during sub zero temperatures it a nice experience to walk along this historic street.

Love the charm of the old buildings taking in a number of restaurants, shops and Cafes. All the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful to us despite our lack of the french language.Best Crepes - Chez SuzettesBest Bakery / Cafe - Olive et GourmandoBest Pasta - L'Usine De Spaghetti - supposably Charles Dickens wrote a "Tale of Two Cities" there

Not too much to walk with -14*C, this suppose to be perfect place but not during winter time, slippery side walks, empty streets and few open places, i tried to find a Bar to have a glass of wine and nothing, only few caffe places.

This is the center of Old Montreal. The best restaurants are on this street or within a block or two. The museums are nearby, and the art galleries are a museum unto themselves.

Loved the proximity of shops and food, but it felt a little touristy for my tastes. I would recommend going to the Latin Quarter and hitting up La Banquise for some poutine.

Beautiful architecture from the past, nice art galleries and local artisans craft boutiques. Local flavours of the Province as well, Maple products especially.
