I have been to the Edmonton Winspear Centre for plays, concerts, comedy shows, etc. This is a world class facility, great sound, lights, seating, etc. The staff is fantastic! Always friendly and helpful if you need directions and/or to find your seats. In Feb. saw three separate shows with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO). They provided the lead and background music to the acts 60's Juke Box, Simon and Garfunkel (remake of their songs) and a Circus show. The ESO sounded fabulous as always and a headliner on their own! The Winspear Centre is located in the heart of the downtown arts district and easy to get to by LRT or bus. Great place to see any type of concert, play and/or act.

A great Musical Venue. I have had the pleasure to both perform on stage and enjoy the performances in the audience. For a performer the sound is so clear and crisp. You realize what a gem this venue is when you rehearse with no audience, the sound envelops you. This venue makes every performance very special. I highly recommend you go and experience it for yourself

The Winspear Center is a world class concert hall. It seats up to 2,000 people. It houses a colossal pipe organ. The Windspear Center is a perfect venue for singer/songwriters, bands, dance groups, choirs, musical theatre groups, opera, public speakers, and it is the home of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.I’ve appeared as part of a backup band on stage at the Windspear and was amazed by the acoustics. I’m not alone in this, many artists comment about the acoustic qualities and will play extended sets. I’ve seen Lucinda Williams, John Prine, Neko Case, and Colin James go into the wee hours with an appreciative audience. If you are an artist (or an agent for one) looking for a venue this size, check to see if there is demand for playing a second concert. Edmonton and its surrounding area is music crazy and tickets sell out in a day for an artist with any name recognition. If you are new to Edmonton and attending this venue consider parking for free along the route of the light rail transit (LRT) which is connected by tunnel to the Windspear. The LRT runs 24/7.

The Winspear is an excellent and modern performance venue with fantastic acoustics and visibility from all seating areas and easy accessibility for all. Located in the core of downtown Edmonton with parkade parking within close proximity. Staff are approachable and friendly. This venue promotes a variety of performances for adult and family entertainment.

The Winspear sparkles in more ways than one. Its acoustics make every seat in the house a great place to hear from. The design of the building is modern yet warm and reminiscent of European opera houses, without the boxes. The staff is friendly, the choice of artists eclectic and Bill Eddins, the principal conductor of the ESO, marvellous. Eddins' wit, comfort with the audience, and knowledge make each concert fun to go to.

We went here twice this summer/fall, once for the jazz festival and the next time to see John Legend. Jazz festival we had floor seats and could see everything really well and for John Legend we had balcony seats stage left, also a great view. You can see the stage pretty well from anywhere in the venue and it was simply a nice smaller venue to see a show.

I have seen several concerts here over the years. Great acoustics and a more intimate setting to enjoy your favourite artists. Centrally located with easy access by public transportation. Plenty of nearby public parking if driving.

I have sang several times with my choir at the Winspear Centre and I have attended many concerts. The acoustics is great. This is the best concert hall in Alberta.

The Circe de Soleil Valentine's Day Orchestral Performance was world class. I have never seen acrobatics performed to classical music before. The thunderous Davis organ nearly took my breath away. Outstanding and memorable evening.

Have had and attended a good number of events there over the years, 3 graduations, celebrity speakers, corporate events and of course music. Not a bad seat in the building.

So, let me clarify.... I didn't hear a concert INSIDE the venue. I attended a reception in the lobby. Great service, lovely music and a wonderful atmosphere. A lovely building. By all accounts hearing a concert is a must for the acoustics.

Once again my family and I enjoyed a fabulous night of music at the Winspear, featuring the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. A first class facility with great sound and acoustics.

We attended the David Feherty concert and it was very good. The acoustics for the Winspear are excellent, and sight lines are unobstructed. There isn't a bad seat. Wonderful building with courteous staff. Parking underground requires patience when exiting so if you are in a hurry, try finding on street parking.
