Nice little park with beautiful views and a nice ecosystem with beautiful flora and fauna. Nice sunset views and fairly quiet.

Though the walking opportunities aren't extensive this is a must-go destination, especially for visitors. There's hardly an hour of walking but many opportunities to sit and appreciate the beauty. The location is in the Texada Island rainshadow and so is drier than most other places on the Sunshine Coast, and the ecosystem is shaped by that. At the end of the walk along the exposed rock you will encounter a stunning stand of old-growth Arbutus, and if you're lucky you might hear the sea lions that like to hang out on the rocks below. Visitors and their dogs are making quite an impact on the vegetation, but only a small portion of the park is accessible and some of it is even off-limits (ecological reserve). Plant enthusiasts will encounter the "exposed coastal bluff" lovers. Most waterfront is private and we're lucky to have this jewel, as is the ecosystem it helps protect. Bring binoculars and lunch, or plan to catch the sunset.

I've done this walk twice now, once in the summer that included a stop off at the beach, and once in November on a beautiful sunny day - both were great experiences. Be sure to walk all the way to the end as there is a lovely lookout and a great place to enjoy a lunch or a snack if you brought something with you. Lots of beautiful arbutus tress! The walk is not too strenuous and as others have said would be good for all levels. Bring a camera!

This is a beautiful walk with amazing views. Not too strenuous so good for all levels. Highly recommend it!! The beach is also quite nice. There is a lovely spot at the end of the walk near the lighthouse where you can sit and enjoy a snack and take in the scenery.

I did the walk to the left of the beach access. It took about 45 minutes to get to what I think is meant by the lighthouse (a white tube). The path is along rock and scrubby grass, a distance above the water, so the views of the water on a sunny day are lovely. The path does not seem to be well used. This could be because the park takes a little work to find; the local maps of the area seem to conflict a bit, and there are a lot of turns.

People said only 20 minutes walk to arrive light house which is a turn back point for water side walk. I felt we spent more than that time to arrive the light house. Start from packing lot where is the end of the road merria dr. , turn left after 100 meter walk and meet a map stand on the cross point, follow the trail until you see a white light house by the seaside and return back along the same trail. Walk was with elevation changes but feedback is -- you are always going with fabulous ocean view with you during your climbing up and down along the rock bank trail. It could be a fun although a little effort to watch out your step for huge rock coastal trail. When you close to the light house, your sight could be far and open, and if it was a sunset time, you will receive unexpected peaceful feeling, we enjoyed the warm soft sea wind and sunset time while sitting on the higher rock above the sea level ... this is an unforgettable memory we ever had.

You need to take the harbor cruise to see all the million dollar waterfront homes. One of the homes belongs to the 3rd riches man in Vancouver (billionaire). his home is 26000 square feet with a garage for his huge yacht. From the road you cannot see any of the water because its so woodsy.

Enjoy the views of the bay and the harbour. Two main trails, the one on the right (facing the water) takes you up quite high with an amazing view. The trail on the left is longer but well worth the hike. The trail to the left is more challenging, but you'll enjoy the scenery along the way.

It is not easy to find this Park .Make sure you have gps or a map. When you get there take the left trail it will get you to the lighthouse(1/2 hour) .Having a picnic on the rocks while watching the sea lions in the sun was perfect.

Can here on an overnight visit to the Sunshine Coast. I paddled the inlet of Pender Harbour back in '08, however didn't get to look around the outside into the Strait of Georgia and across to Texada Island. I have been along this coast line many times, usually in a small plane, seeing the forest not the trees.Walking on the outer shores of the Strait is very relaxing, quite and free feeling. This park is a unique micro climate and exhibits plants and vegetation unique to this specific region. Take the time if your at all interested in a seeing a preserved piece of BC, I believe it's worth the visit.

I loved the hike towards the water at Francis Point. Not too difficult and the views there were incredible!
